Dollhouse-masterpiece

Thsi was one of the rare occasions that a book makes me actually cry! This was such a perfect book. The plot in this was amazing, filled with plot twists, unexpected events and realistic drama. The characters were greatly done, with their own flaws, weaknesses and their own lonely ways of dealing with problems that fell upon their family.
Although I must say there were a few gramatical errors at the start of the book, later I just got too sucked in to care about spotting any at all.
So in the end I couldn't put this book I down until reached the ending and I hadn't seen such an astonishing drama novel like this one for a while now. I bow to the author for such a masterpiece. πŸ’– 😍

Epic!

Thank you!πŸ’–
This was probably one if the best books I've ever read! I really loved the world the author created which was really interesting and different from anything I've read. The whole dividing system with the black and white masks...
Moreover the enemy was astonishigly well created! He gave me the creeps every time he'd appeared, also was a really memorable character. And especially loved his backstory!
Talking about other characters, I think they were briliant as well, because everyone was different, in looks personalities, goals, and the way it turned out for them (talking about Twitch, Victoria, Becca...)
One downside, which wasn't that much of a bad thing woud be, that the writting style was sometimes too fast pacing, in suspense, action scenes, yes it was good, but I'd still woud like it to sometimes stop for a moment and give a breather.
Anything else was pure gold, and I can't thank the author enough, so Thank you again, this work will stay in my head for years!
Can't wait to read the next part!😁

Dear Old Jack

Well, ok, this was an interesting mystery novel, that played with my head.
There were a lot of epic moments of plot movement, and I loved the chemistry between Jack and John, all their flirting instinces... Besides have to say the ending took me by surprise, but was satisfying one nonetheless, nearly drew tears, that's what good character atachment does.

Although, there were parts of the novel that I feel should be expanded. There was very little description in here, and the whole aura of 19th century wasn't touched that much. And the revelation of the father should be explained and added in my opinion, maybe even in psychological sense, because that could have made the novel way deeper and better, now there are loose ends.

Furthermore, there was one instince when Jack cut a piece of the whole brain and directly putted it on the microscope... Ah, sorry but that's not how it works, I apologise my medical brain's kicking in. Even if it was in the past, it would be literally impossible for a human to cut a 0,2 milimeter thick slice for the smear, before that, the whole thing must be soaked in formalin, and usually they don't take the whole organ for a sample but rather a piece of it, because otherwise they would need a lot if formalin... Anyway, I'll end this rant, all I have to say, that in my opinion, the author should've done some more research...

All in all this was a trully enjoyable novel!

A Fascinating Fantasy

So this was a perfect start of a trilogy and an outstanding fantasy novel!

The characters' portraits were amazing, and were gradually revealed, deepened and I loved, how I was made to follow a different characters' Pov, thus got a better view of their backstories and the surrounding world. I think my favorite character was Psykhe though... The Galaxis past, and all the different races were a fascinating and imaginative idea as well.

The writing style was fast and well-paced, straight to the point. Meanwhile the plot -captivating, I could never know, what could happen next, I loved how the second chapter, where Theo was put on execution, got tied up with the ending chapters with Karnya,(was that his name?) that was a good plot movement, it caught me off guard.

I would want to know more of Emvolo's religion though, especially how did that statue (which was featured in the church, in the last chapters - the final battle) looked like. Maybe this will be expanded in the later books... There were a few missing commas especially in the ending chapters, but they hadn't disturbed the enjoyment.

Anyway, this was a real gem in terms of character designs and world building...

A huge thank you, and even bigger kudos goes to the author! Thank you for this trully outstanding piece of literature! Good luck, to you! ❀

Tragic, mystical, odd- Tantalus

Have to admit that this book was the most weirdest thing, that I have ever read, not necessarily in a bad way. I did love the symbolism, the meaningful legend, that tied together with the ending also the fantasy that had imtermitted, and mingled with reality. That had been astonishingly done. The dialogue was realistic. The ending, in my opinion, was gorgeously, but tragically done as well.

Although I believe, grammar should be improved in bere, especially the comma us in the dialogue. Also, the writing style was kind of choppy, lacked descriptions, and the skipping parts made me confused at the start, until I understood, that probably the characters themselves didn't remembered what happened in those unshowed instances. So I think that the author used this as a technicue. So that the readers would get a better look at a drug addicts life. If that's the case, I don't know if I liked that much. But technically it wasn't a bad book.

Anyway, if you are interested in drug abuse, or a good tragedy, try this one out, maybe something in here will stick out for you as well.❀

Packed with emotions

This poetry collection was marvellous, astonishing... It explored darker emotions, and revealed hope, hidden pain, or other negative feelings. This poetry collection had some very truthful ideas, and words that were like knives to the heart with their beautiful phrasings and deep or melancholic meaning. I loved it, and again, I highly recommend this poetry collection.
And lastly, this: πŸ’–, is for the author, good job!

Curiosity killed the cat

This was an intriguing and tense psychological thriller, one that I couldn't let go. The novel took an odd approach to mystery, one that made me immersed in this book all the more. The never ending secrets or twists and turns, the characters curiosity, the intriguing way, that the author used to tie every knot of the plot together, were such guilty pleasures, that I found myself wanting more of them.

Another thing, why I loved this book dearly, was the smooth change of the main characters. It worked wonders and created the world in front of my eyes.

A few things that should need polishing would be the writing style, in my opinion it could've explored the characters' personalities a little more, but this might be just a personal want. The other thing - grammar.

All in all, this is one of the most gripping, mystery novels here on Inkitt. A memorable, astonishing read, that will be remembered. Thank you, author.

A New World enfolded in front of my eyes

This poetry book had a really beautiful imagery, that made my mind wander to all sorts of places. The poems were really creative, and carried a deep meaning, or a sad revelation behind all the beauty. It was mesmerising, and because of that I want to say a big thank you to the author. That was certainly a worthwhile read, and dreaming at the same time. I'll surely remember this, and probably come back from time to time to get lost in this crafted World once again.

I totally recommend this poetry book.

A cute collection of poetry

Well this poetry collection was nice and was filled with beautiful words and meanings, so I would recommend this to people who enjoy emerging themselves in romantic poetry or that of loss of a beloved... So if you like romance, this is definately a pick for you!

Although for me that wasn't the case... I'm looking for more fantasy or nature poetry. So yeah... Either way, had fun reading and spotted no errors. Thank you, author!

Not my cup of tea

Well, I expected something better than this... And I feel kind of bad posting this negative review, considering how much I liked the first book.

I feel bad about writing this too.

Firstly what I liked, were the few well placed jokes that made me giggle, Im talking about aunt Gigi, she was amazingly funny and all those between Megan and Sam, nice.

But still this one, was not my cup of tea...

The writing style hadn't improved one bit, from the first book, it was plain, too much dialogue, and absolutely no descriptions. Also as this was written from the first person POV, the author could've easilly gone deeper into the characters emotions, their mind and through out the book I kept wishing, that it would be done... However my wishes went down the drain...

And the thing, that ticked me off just as well, maybe even more, was the lack of suspense. That was what I absolutely adored about assisting miss Adams, Sam's rebelious side, the drug trafficing, Sam's past and insecurities, the fights with Shay, the problem with the addict... Those were the things that made me love that book, and unfortunately this one had none of that..

Furthermore, side characters, yes we met new characters in here, the only problem, that they weren't explored, they were left like white sheets of paper, no appearance, no backstory, no personality traits.. The worst thing, I had wanted that, because i thought since these were one shots, it would be a perfect time to explore them, alas, no...

All in all, I wish the best to the author, and your future projects, and thank you again for 'Assisting miss Adams'.

One of the best poetry I found on Inkitt!

Wov... Where to even start. This poetry collection was amazing, nearly each poem had a deep meaning behind it, written in beautifully phrased sentences that I could lose myself in. Pure art, and pure beauty. I would recommend this to people who enjoy poetry, without a second thought.πŸ’ž
It's rather hard for me to determine which poem I liked the most...
'Roots' caught my attention from the very start, the way the poem showed a will to escape from the norm, from the main habitat, and search for a new way, a new escape... It was mesmerizing.

Secondly, 'The long lost friend', revealed a melancholic state of the protagonist, but also showed growth of the character, that was astonishing.

Thirdly, 'The Bridge' was probably my favorite, I think. Because the ending caught me off guard, and I wasn't even prepaired... So as a horror lover, I'd say that was cool!

Furthermore, 'Chronic' I really liked the reperition of it. And especially loved what you did with the ending, this was inspirational again, to look more in to oneself, and find the problems, with your own strength not with medication. Moreover, 'The life is a flowing river' again, probs for the genius repetition, cute.

Finally, 'I am rich' was deep and really made me overthink events in my own life, made me respect the things that I have, this poem teaches about not being greedy, or having envy, so applauds for the beautiful, important meaning.
(I didn't spot any grammatical mistakes, and it would be hard to talk about the writing style in poetry, if even possible, so 5 starts for that)

All in all, a deep thank you goes to the author of this inspirational poetry collection, enjoyed it!πŸ’–πŸ‘

A Masterpiece without an ending

πŸ’ŽWell, the story was interesting, even though it was short.

πŸ’ŽI really enjoyed the given backstories of nearly every character here, that made the book stand out, be different, and helped me ro understand why are they doing things that they are doing in the novel.
πŸ’ŽMy favorite character would be the Sheradin, because his arc nearly brought goosebumps on my back, they were mysterious and unsettling, in the built up atmosphere (which the author was a genius at by the way, great writing style) and since this was a horror novel, those few chapters did the job perfectly. The story as a whole didn't have that much horror, but the lingering feeling of uneasiness was present, so for me that was good enough

πŸ’ŽFurthermore I enjoyed the XIX century build up in this novel, and it was really xciting to read, because that was what I was seeking for, and stumbled onto this novel. The captured century, the job of the police during that period, the wealthy life style was greatly shown. And made me emerged in this book even more.

πŸ’ŽThe biggest problem with this novel is that it is unfinished, in so I'm left without the resolution, that is truly sad, I'll be praying that the author of this would make a sequel. Moreover there were a few misspelled words in the start of the novel, but I don't even recall where they were...

πŸ’ŽAll in all, a fantastic read! Praise to the author! πŸ’žπŸ‘

A refreshing read

πŸ”ΈThis book was quite nice and sweet. And had a pretty good plot to keep the book moving and keep me invested.πŸ’œ

πŸ”ΈIt had interesting characters and I really loved Sam's and Megan's backstories, especially how they helped one another to beat their fears and how at first they threw sarcastic remarks at one another. The building romance had a beautiful movement, it wasn't not to fast. I really liked how it all started from simple friendhsip. Their interactions were fantastically made! However I would've wished for more backstory from other characters like Blair or Shawn. I still really liked the beautiful story with good drama, interestingly crafted characters. Especially I want to mention Sam's rebelious side, it was a pleasure to see that kind of character. And her not well thought out decisions, it made the character seem real, and different.

πŸ”ΈThe writing style was quite plain, and there were a few grammatical mistakes, nothing that bad...

πŸ”ΈIn the end it was a novel packed with emotions, a good (not cheesy) storyline, believable events and reasons behind them, well created characters, with their own flaws, hopes and dreams. I recommend this book to people who are into heartwarming LGBT romances, rebelious teenagers, and a drama on top of it all. Thumbs up to the author, and my greatest respect! πŸ’“ 😻

Traumatizing

It's going to be hard for me to rate this novel. I personally hated it, wanted to quit it several times, but something was always forcing me to finish it.

πŸ‘‰If I look at it from a different perspective the plot was emotional, interesting and realistic, there were a lot of parts that made me recount real happenings that were similar to those perscribed in the book. Also if I disregard every horrible thing I've read in this novel, leaving me with the astonishing ending, I'd say it that it hit me hard. Seriously, I hadn't expected the ending, I'd read a 700+ novel for it (well maybe)

πŸ’žI feared for the main character's, Daria's, well being, loved and cherished Pauline, threw weird glanced whenever Cara showed up? planning another go out that might end bad for Daria. I hated Leonard to a point of wanting to strangle him myself. This book made me care for the characters more than I would have expected, that's why I will love it, beside the plot.

This novel had it's down sides. It was way too cruel for me. And most of the time, and in the start there was no hope. Writing this kind of dark novel you must have a shimmer of hope, a will to continue through for the characters "There can be no shadows without the light." I'm just going to qoute that.

Furthermore I didn't understood where did the love for Johny appeared, at first he was mentioned once and the next moment Daria loves him? Ok, I have never been in love before, but I doubt if a LONG term adoration can come from just a single stare at a person.
Lastly, the way author portrays nearly EVERY man (preteen or teenager) as following his male urges to extremes, and being perverted with a lady ticked me off. I doubt that every man is like that.

All in all, it was not the best, but traumatic and memorable read.πŸ’™

Fascination overload!

I won't be wrong to say that this was so far the best mystery book I've read! Any book I've read!

πŸ‘‰This novel is about a girl, Elizabeth, who's overly catholic parents send her to an academy to seemingly fix her behaviour. That academy is not as heavenly as it's made out to be. Its a cult, messed up in an entirelly different level. As Elizabeth tries to escape, a whole different pallet of life engulfs her, a life of secrets around her past and pure insanity.

πŸ’› The characters were well planned out, amazingly written. All diferent, unique, relatable I can't say a bad word about their planning. Just simply golden.

πŸ’š Though what cought my interest the most, pulling me in without a second to breath was the plot. It was like nothing I've ever seen before on Inkitt. The plotwists made me agape - I'm wrong every unexpeted plot turn made me shiver and fear for the main character as if I was standing there and facing that dread. Astonishing!

πŸ’œ The only bad side of this book would be a few missing words in sentences. But there are very few of them, so they don't disturb the enjoyment.

πŸ’™ Nonetheless, I remain true to my word - EPICNESS. I recomend this book to all my friends and people who are in to Mystery.

πŸ’ž Reader, pick up this book, it's a hidden gem, I asure you that, you won't regret it. Btw, sending GIANT KUDOS to the author.😚

Capricorn House

Well, this was a really intriguing mystery novel, I'd totally recomend this to people interesed in detectives. This novel blew my mind!

The wide variety of unique characters made them really interesting to read. Personally loved Ruth and Iris... Anyway the murder mysteries themselves were well planned, leading to unexpected conclusions, in so keeping me on the edge of the seat. I'd have to say the ending wasn't predictable and packed a punch with a good plot-twist. And that's exactly what I want from an ending of such books!

The first of the few things that would need editing, would be the grammar. It wasn't horrible, or that annoying, but there were words that doubled.
Moreover the writing style was rather cheap... Even though it made the text really easy to read( maybe that's what the author intended, idk) it was flat in my opinion, the author used quite small variety of words. The author could improve his/hers inner dictionary a little...

Over all, what should I say more, worth a read and giving a try, for the plot, characters, mystery, harsh reality and a true ties of friendship! Seriously the ending rocked!😌
KUDOS to the author!πŸ‘ŒπŸ’ž

Your Voice

This was an interesting book for sure. Had a really good time reading it!

The plot was quite interesting, and in the middle it really got drammatical ( which I atually didn't expected) in my opinion. That was the feature that I really loved. Also the humor was quite sweet, there were jokes that reeled me in for a good giggle. Furthermore the romance was really sweet, as were the couples. And there were a lot, you'll find your favorite for sure. I would all the way for Jill and Tobby...😘

Beside that the characters were really greatly explored, and the author gave every indivual their own character, backstory and an interesting setting in the plot. Probs for that! Not always do I see such greatly explored plot!

Although this book even if it has good plot, lovable characters it would need some proofreading and a strong editing. Because there were a lot of grammatical mistakes, misspelled words. But the worst part was that the author mixed the tenses: the present and the past... Atleast it seemed to me, that made some parts hard to understand. Please, fix it if you could....

πŸ‘‰And sorry I'm cringing at one scene at the end, where I thought that it was cliche. (before Toby proposed to Jill, and started dancing on ice, and the crowd of unknown people came from absolutely nowhere just to add the effect... Did he hired those people to dance? For what? And how did he turned on the music? Did he payed to get the whole place set up like that?)πŸ˜• Didn't understood...

Anyway I'd really recommend this novel to those people who like lgbt, teacher and student relationships and a good laugh. Thank you, author, really much! I'll surely remember this work! πŸ’ž

Nice horror

This book was really interesting, the plot just reeled me in to a point that I couldn't stop reading. Every little detail had it's place in the development, nothing was left to linger unsolved.

This masterpiece is about three friends trying to overcome their fears and nightmares to fight an ancient demon dwelling in their hometown church. As the evil continues to take lives and threaten Fereldon village.

Also I loved the writing style of this book, it was easy to read, but there were a few mistakes in spelling, it happens to all of us writers, the most important part is that those minor mistakes didnt disturb reading in the least. I still understood everything.

Lastly this was a great horror novel, and I'm really glad I found it! I am a veteran at horror, so cheap tricks dont appeal to me in the least. So this book's was truly frightening at times, and kept me awake for hours, still thinking about those events.

I recomend this astonishing novel to anyone interested in mystery, bonds of friendship, fright and good plotwists.
By the way, kudos goes to the author for this masterpiece!πŸ’ž

Harmony

I remember a few months ago finding Harmony the sin chronicles on Fanfiction, was astonished by it and could not stop reading it! I'm really happy to see it here on Inkitt too!
I loved the first arc, the characters were all different in their looks, personalities and holding interesting secrets! (Hahen, Tsumi etc)
The enemy was pretty well done too and brought a creepy aura with him...
Also I don't know why, but I loved YΕ«jin...
Talking about the plot, it was marvelous, had romance, action, the fanatasy was neet too! Simply perfect!

More action than horror

Yes it was an interesting story for sure! Although the horror didn't appeal to me, not my type of horror though and as it proggressed it seemed to be more of a survival filled with action rather than a horror novel, I missed some more mystery as well. And I can't say much about the characters because they weren't that well explored. Otherwise it was really an entartaining book, for action, suspense lovers worth read and besides the creepy atmosphere at the start was amazing.

Amazing!

Ok so this was a really adtonishing novel, the plot kept me on the edge till the very last chapter, I kept guessing who's the culprit, and have to say it was quite original and loved the never ending drama. The writing itself was not bad,I have to admit the explanations kind of made me lost, in my opinion the lacked more clarity, and there a few missing dots on the end if the paragraphs, if you could you should improve your writting a bit. Anyway enjoyed it! Thank you really much, a memorable piece of art!πŸ’•

Needs work

This was HORRIBLE. But I'll get to the reason shortly. First what was good?

Ok, I have to say I loved Revel, her backstory was well created, she seemed mysterious with the way she acted, talked really little and most importantly was independant. Loved this character. Secondly the writing had no grammatical mistakes...

On the bad part, the story lacked more depht, it seemed really made up, unrealistic. As did the main couple Gray and Marcy, they were too plain, the authir failed to explore them deeper, or atleast give more information about them: backstory, likes, why they chose to do what they do, for instance Gray becoming a teacher. In so these characters seemed made up, unrealistic, not dimmensional, and unrelatable.

Talking about Marcy it's really sad that the author just TOLD us she was writing a play for Rapunzel but NEVER ACTUALLY SHOWED IT. That's a big mistake, showing always makes the plot more believable and way more interesting than just a simple:
"Hey, I'm writing a play."

One more thing, the plot was way too fast pacing besides that it lacked deph.THE AUTHOR REPEATED NEARLY THE SAME SITUATION TWICE WITHOUT IT MOVING THE PLOT ONE BIT.
Example: Marcy and Gray getting mad at each other, then have... then love one another yet again...
Lastly,Gray... His meaningless, emotional outbursts didn'made any sense. "I love her but I'm teacher and I can't" But then he goes have sex with her, really diverse personality, it could've probably made sense if it was deepened, but it wasn't.

Anyway this was a waste of my time,
however I still wish all the best to the author of this book, I hope this review helped.
