Broken Promises

I held Natalie in my arms as the water rained over our body. I felt her lips over mine as I pushed her against the wall. My cell phone vibrated against the sink off as Natalie gasped, I pulled away. “My phone-” “Ignore it,” she replied huskily, pulling me back towards her.

I fell against her grip but the annoying buzz coming from the phone was ruining the mood. I tried to keep the feeling going until I received another call. Natalie groaned, glancing up at me.

“Do you want me to answer it?”

“The mood's ruined already.”

I sighed, stepping out of the shower and wrapping a towel around my body. I grabbed my cell, flipping it open. “Someone better be dead,” I grumbled.

“I feel like I’m dying."

“Mark?” I exclaimed, arching my eyebrows. “How was homecoming?” he asked, bluntly. “It was alright. Mark, are you okay?” I asked.

“Yeah. Just realizing how it feels to be dumped. It’s horrible. Now I know why Lee went off the deep end. At least we broke up on honest terms, right?” he answered with a sigh.

“Um, yeah. Yeah, that is true. Is Hope going to stay in Mexico?” I asked, swallowing hard. “Yes” he replied. I groaned and glanced over at Natalie as she poked her head out the shower curtain.

“Is Mark alright?” she asked. I nodded my head before running my hand over my neck. “Beck, what’s wrong?” she continued. “Hope is staying in Mexico” I said. “What!” she yelled, pulling the curtain back as she stared at me.

“Uh, Mark, I’m gonna have to call you back. I’ve got to calm down Natalie,” I said. “Lee didn’t tell you?” he said, chuckling a bit. “Nope." I heard Mark laughing on the other line and quickly hung up.

Natalie turned off the shower and was drying off angrily as I followed behind her. “I can’t believe this! She’s staying in Mexico! Why?” she said, throwing back on her dress.

“I don’t know, Nat. She’s staying there and hopefully she’ll come back. I mean, she’s still got graduation,” I said putting my slacks and dress shirt back on before grabbing my vest. “All she needs is her diploma and they can mail that to her. I just can’t believe that she wouldn’t say good-bye” Natalie said softly.

I stared over at her, smiling. I walked over and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed the top of her head. “I’m sure she just had so much going on, that she didn’t get a chance to say good bye to us,” I said.

She sighed and reached up and ran her fingers through my hair. “I love you,” she whispered before pulling me down and claiming my lips against her. I kissed her back and soon enough, I felt my hands running under her dress as she turned around and pulled me in deeper.

I bit down on her lip as she moaned in my mouth and I picked her up against the door and ran my nails down her thigh. “Beck, we have to go home” she sighed, leaning her head back as I kissed her neck.

“Do we?” I moaned, biting down. “Becca!” she groaned, trying to get out of my hold. I laughed and put her back down. “I see I got you to yell my real name,” I teased. “I told you I liked your real name” she smiling.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned toward my right ear. ”Becca" she whispered seductively. I groaned and she laughed before softly biting my ear. “Let’s go home,” she said. I nodded my head and opened the door before walking out of the hotel room behind Natalie.

Lee stared at the television in front of him and sighed as he reencountered the events from last night. He groaned and through the game controller on the ground and pulled at his hair.

“How could I have ever been so stupid to ask her to marry me?” he growled in annoyance. He leaned back against the bed and stared up at the ceiling.

“I should have known better,” he groaned. Lee got up from the ground and collapsed on his bed as he thought about last night.

"You don’t wanna marry me?” Lee repeated as he stared at Jessie. She inhaled and nodded her head.

Lee groaned and took Jessie’s hand in his. “Why?” he asked, rubbing his thumb against her wrist. “Because…I’m just not ready to be married yet Lee. I love you and I want to be with you but…I don’t wanna be the girl who got married in High School because she got knocked up by some guy. I love you so much but please don’t marry me yet. Five years from now, sure. Ten years; I don’t care, I just don’t want to be Mrs. Lee Wong right now” she replied honestly.

Lee sighed and pulled Jessie into a hug. “So you’re saying…you’ll become Mrs. Lee Wong in ten years right?” he teased. Jessie laughed and leaned up to kiss me. I cupped her face in my hands and kissed her passionately.

"I love you so much” he mumbled against her lips. Jessie laughed before leaning in to kiss him once more.

Lee sighed before looking over at Jessie, who was wrapped up in the covers, sleeping. He smiled and rolled over, putting his arm around her and pulling her close. He placed a chaste kiss on her forehead before laying his head next to her pillow.

His cell phone went off and he picked it up, noticing he had a txt from Beck.

Mark invited me to the arcade. You wanna come?

-Beck

Lee smirked and looked down at Jessie before texting her back.

Sure thing. Be there in 30.

Khloe ran around the corner away from Alex, Seth, and another one of their baseball friends as they chased after her down the hall. You would think that when you prevent someone from being raped that the raper wouldn’t be trying to hunt you down for fear that you would tell someone.

Apparently, Alex wasn’t that smart. But the one thing that Khloe didn’t understand…was the fact that Kendra, the rapee, was actually helping her.

“Khloe! This way!” Kendra yelled, as she opened the door for me. I quickly jumped into the room as she slammed it behind me and locked it.

All three of them hit the door hard and she jumped back. “Kendra! Open this fucking door right now!” Alex yelled angrily. “No! Just go away Alex. Leave us alone!” she yelled back.

“Us?” Khloe thought to herself as she leaned against a desk and tried to get her breathing under control. Alex glared at her and rammed his body against the door, trying to break in.

“Is there another way out of here?” Khloe asked, looking around for another door. Kendra shook her head and jumped when Seth banged his fist against the wall. Kendra looked close to tears and for some reason that bothered her.

“Cut that shit out! You’re scaring her!” she yelled through the door. “That’s my girlfriend bitch! You mind your own. Damn. Business!” Alex yelled, hitting the door with every word he spoke.

Khloe stared over at her and she took her hand before walking towards the window. “Kendra! You better not go out that window with her or so help me!” Alex threatened. Kendra rolled her eyes as Khloe opened the window and carefully climbed out.

She took her hand and Khloe helped her get down before they ran over to her car and jumped inside, locking the doors and sighing in relief.

“So, do you want to tell me why you’re boyfriend is trying to kill me?” Khloe growled, leaning over to look at Kendra from her seat. “You know why. He's no longer has me and he thinks that you do,” she said softly.

Khloe’s eyes widened and her jaw dropped. “I don’t have you! There is no way that that would ever-Wait, did you tell him I have you?” she asked, arching her eyebrows at the girl.

Kendra just nodded and it all began to make sense to her. “No wonder you said ‘us’ in the classroom. Why are you trying to make it seem like we’re together?” she asked.

“Because if Alex thinks that I’m taken then he’ll leave me alone. I broke up with him but even by doing that he still messed with me. So I told him that I was with you,” Kendra replied.

Khloe groaned and put her hand against her forehead. “I can’t believe this. How could you be so stupid? I never told you I wanted to be with you, now did I? And after what happened between you and Natalie this past week? Are you fucking crazy?” Khloe yelled.

“I’m doing this because of Natalie! Don’t you realize that! I wanna be better. I wanna do better. I hurt her so bad and I’ve felt so guilt about it and I want her to forgive me. I want to forgive myself!” she yelled as she tried to hold back her tears.

“Being with me wont make her forgive you.”

“But being with you could make me different."

Khloe stared into Kendra’s eyes before she leaned towards her slowly and put her hands on Khloe’s neck. She leaned her lips closer to hers and Khloe felt her heart began to race as Kendra kissed her. It started out slow but eventually she grabbed the back of Kendra’s neck and deepened the kiss with her tongue. Kendra moaned against her lips until Khloe felt eyes on her.

She looked to her right and noticed Sara staring directly at them from her seat next to Jacob. Khloe slowly broke away from the kiss and ran her thumb over Kendra’s lips as she stared back at her.

“Jesus, what the hell am I doing?” she thought before pulling Kendra’s lips to hers once more.
