Getting Rid of Rachel

“No way.”

“I’m not lying, Beckley.”

“She’s staying with you? She got kicked out? Who the hell is Beckley?”

“Yes, Yes, and you are Beckley.”

“I could have sworn my name was Becca but alright.”

“Ever heard of a nickname buddy?”

“Yeah I have one and it’s Beck but anyway, Jessie is seriously staying with you?”

“Yup. I wasn’t gonna let Patrick just kick her out in the cold while she’s almost 4 months pregnant. She wanted to stay with me”

“We should egg his house.”

“I agree.”

“There will be no egged houses while I’m here.”

Lee and I looked over our shoulders at Natalie and I smiled at her. “Hi honey,” I said nervously. She raised her eyebrows at me and shook her head.

“It’s so busy around here. Don’t these people ever go home?” she groaned, leaning against my back.

“They do when the store closes. These late hours have been killing me. I swear, Rachel is out to get me. No one else works 8 hours, 4 times in a row but me, and I’m part time!” he exclaimed.

Natalie laughed softly and wrapped her arms around my waist. Lee arched his eyebrows at me and I smiled at him.

“What?” I asked, not dropping my grin. “I’m just admiring my work. You’ve really grown up, Beck. I’m surprised. I mean, you seem so…”

“Happy? Yeah, I think someone has to do with that” I interrupted.

“I’m glad to have you back, Lee” Natalie said, pulling away from me and walking back to the front. I watched her go and sighed.

“Now I’m cold,” I pouted, wishing I could trade Lee for Natalie. Maybe I could…

I smirked evilly at Lee and he looked away from me nervously. “I know what you’re thinking and it’s not going to happen,” he said, smirking back.

“Damn!” I growled in defeat. Rachel walked over to us and I knew it was time to put my plan in effect.

“Beck, you smell good today. What is that, strawberry?” she asked, smiling seductively at me as she moved closer.

“Um, actually it’s midnight pomegranate” I replied, not moving away from her but fidgeting a little.

“Whatever it is, it smells delicious. Almost good enough to eat” she whispered, running her finger across my stomach.

I had to admit. She was the master of sexual seduction and if she hadn’t have played Lee and if I wasn’t in love with Natalie, I would actually fall into her trap. But I knew the type of person she was so I continued on with my plan.

“Are you saying you want to eat me?” I asked, looking over at Lee and giving him a slight nod. He nodded back at me and walked away, heading towards the back.

Rachel smiled at me with her perfect teeth and moved her hand slowly over my neck, grazing the skin and pulling at my collar.

“Oh, it looks like someone has already tried” she sighed, running her perfectly manicured finger over my bright red hickey. I moved to pull my shirt up but she grabbed my wrist and looked around so that no one would notice us.

“Why are you fighting it Beck?” she whispered, leaning towards my ear and moving her body closer to mine.

“Rachel, I don’t think you should be doing this. You’re my boss," I stuttered, making sure to emphasize the word.

“Shhh. Don’t think about that. We’re both people right? Two people giving into their carnal urges”. Her hand went to pull at my pants and my eyes widened. Was she really gonna try to get me off in the middle of the entertainment section?!

She pushed me back against the wall and I watched as she un-tucked my shirt, running her hand up my stomach.

“Wow, I’m shocked. You’re toned. Wasn’t expecting that,” she sighed in admiration. I frowned at her and almost had the urge to push her away but I stopped myself.

Sigh. The things I do for Lee.

Rachel’s hand explored more of my body and I remembered my promise to Natalie and quickly grabbed her hand before she reached my breast.

“I think you should stop Rachel. I don’t feel comfortable about this,” I said sternly. Rachel glared at me, pulling away her hand. “Relax, Beck,” she whispered, her glare quickly dropping and her seductive shield being put back up.

“I’ll make it good, I swear. I’ll be the best you ever had,” she said, biting my ear. That was it. That was all I could take and that was all I needed.

I forcefully pushed her away from me and walked towards the front. I heard her gasp and knew she was chasing after me. I wiped my ear in disgust and rounded the corner, going directly towards Natalie.

“Beck! Beck! Get back here!” Rachel screamed after me. The customers were watching as my boss chased me down and I ignored her.

Natalie glanced up at me as she noticed Rachel screaming behind me. Her expression changed into one of anger but I quickly waved her off.

I wanted Rachel to make a scene. I wanted to be the one that got away. She had never been rejected before and I’m sure her pride was taking a huge toll right now.

“I said come here!” she yelled. I stopped in my tracks and turned back around to look at her.

“What?” I asked innocently. What I didn’t expect was for her to walk closer to me. What I didn’t expect was for her lips to hit mine and hear the people around us all gasp. What I didn’t expect was for her to slap me after she kissed me?

But what I did expect was for Natalie to lose her shit.

“What the fuck?” she yelled in anger as I felt my bruised cheek. That slap had hurt but I had more important things to deal with, like stopping Natalie from killing Rachel.

I pulled her against me quickly as she called Rachel every name in the book, trying to break from my grip and hurt the woman.

“You don’t hit her!” she growled venomously, practically seething with anger.

I kissed the back of Natalie’s head and whispered to her over and over again that I was fine. Eventually, she calmed down and took my hand, leaning against me as I stroked hers with my thumb.

“You don’t realize what kind of hell you’ve unleashed on yourself, Beck” Rachel said, smirking, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Miss, are you alright? Your cheek doesn’t look too well” an elderly woman asked me in concern. I smiled at her and told her that I was fine.

“You don’t hit your employees! What kind of boss are you?” A man with a black hat on asked her in anger.

“What’s wrong with you? Obviously there’s something going on here but that should stay private, this is not a public affair,” a woman with a small child yelled, glaring at Rachel.

Natalie and I slowly walked away as people bombarded Rachel with questions and accusations, yelling at her for smacking me and for turning such a private thing into something public.

She didn’t know how to respond and rambled many “I’m sorry’s” to the crowd and tried to dissuade the situation but it was too late. People were angry and they weren’t going to let it go.

She looked from left to right in desperation and quickly walked towards the back and I smiled as I watched her go.

Natalie quickly turned around in my arms and touched my cheek gently. “I can’t believe that bitch hit you,” she said softly, frowning at herself.

I chuckled and leaned towards her touch. “Her pride was hurt, luckily you weren’t there to see what else she did to me." Natalie’s eyes widened and I laughed once again.

“I pulled away before she reached anything you haven’t. I kept my promise like I said I would” I explained, kissing her forehead.

She sighed contently, cupping my face. “No more helping Lee alright? I don’t want you to get hurt,” she scolded. I smiled at how serious she was getting but promised her anyway.

“Samantha!” For some reason, I knew that was directed at me. I sighed and blandly looked at Glen.

“What happened here?” he asked, jogging towards me. “Rachel lost her shit. She tried to sexual harass me. She kissed me without my consent, and then slapped the hell out of me” I replied.

Glen gasped and looked over at the customers, who were now calm but still a bit edgy.

“I’m guessing she made a scene,” he replied. Natalie and I both nodded as he sighed.

“There’s no helping it. She’s going to have to be fired once the store’s director hears about this." I tried not to do a victory dance and I heard Natalie mumble, “it’s about time."

“Well then, I guess someone has to be in charge while we’re looking for a new manager” he said innocently, smiling as he stretched his body.

“Since you two clearly aren’t qualified, I’ll just ask Mr. Jenkins myself. I mean, I’ve been here for-"

"10 years! We get it Glen. I think you’ll be perfect for the job” I interrupted.

Glen smirked at me before walking back towards the aisle. “I’ll glad you agree Samantha and you should really put something on your cheek before it swells. Get back to work,” he threw over his shoulder.

Natalie laughed as he strolled off, happily. “You know, I’m actually looking forward to Glen being our manager,” I said, putting my arm around her waist.

“Is it weird that I agree with you?” she asked, arching her eyebrows at me. “Nah. Just makes you human” I replied, shaking my head.

Natalie laughed and dragged me down towards the bathroom. “Now, let’s put something on that cheek of yours” she said, pulling the end of my shirt.

“Now why does that sound sexual coming from you?” I teased, pushing her towards the door.

“Beck, stop” she whined, playfully pushing me away. “I mean, I could resist Rachel but you’re a different story,” I added on, running my hands over her waist.

She bit her lower lip and I leaned closer towards her. “I’m warning you,” she whispered, licking her piercing. “You know, I used to think that your snakebites would get in the way when I tried to kiss you but it’s actually sexy” I growled, running my thumb over her bottom lip.

She whimpered as I pushed my thumb past her lips and into her mouth, still holding her against me. She ran her tongue over it as her breathing got harsher.

“Can you feel the way your heart’s beating? How excited you’re getting? I feel the exact same way,” I whispered in her ear, kissing right below it.

She melted in my touch and pulled me tighter.

“I love you,” she whispered, staring straight into my eyes. I stared back at her and gently placed her lips against mine.

Nothing would ever be better than knowing she loved me.
