Chapter 11

I was on my way to lunch, Dom walking beside me. He was talking about football practice and the game coming up. We were at the door when it swung open and Aiden came rushing through, a panicked expression on his face. He pushed me out of the way and I was subjected to the awesome tingles that always came from touching him. As I watched him run off I was going to chase after him when I heard the loud mummers in the cafe.

“He’s does look gay”

“Stupid fag”

“I hope he goes to hell”

“He’s an abomination”

Every one of those sentences made my blood rise to a boil. How dare they talk about my mate like that! I noticed I was shaking when Dom put a hand on my arm.

“Dude you have to calm down.” He said calmingly. I took a deep breath before following Aiden slowly so I could calm myself before confronting him. I followed his scent for a while, he really hauled ass didn’t he. Stupid basters made him feel humiliated; I could kill every one of them. The scent stopped at the bathroom; so I opened the door quietly. I walked in I found him on the floor. His head was leaning against the wall, his arms at his side and his eyes closed. He looked as if he was sleeping. This isn’t what I was expecting. Walking over to him I knelt to his level and said his name. No answer, so I said it again and still he sat there with his eyes closed. I touched his trying to remind myself to not pay any attention to the sparks.

“Aiden” I shook his softly, why the hell isn’t he responding? “Aiden, Aiden” I said starting to worry now. Finally he opened his eyes but his was struggling just to do that. His eyes were so dilated that his pupil were so small you could hardly see them.

“Youu are t-the seexiesst man I haaave ever seeen” he slurred struggling to lift his hand towards my face. Oh my god what the hell is wrong with him? I thought franticly, was he having some kind of medical episode? Is he on something?

“Aiden did you take something?” I asked him. He doesn’t answer, instead he smiles, his cheeks were flushed and his eyes were drooping down. I leant over him and took a whiff only to be assaulted by an acidic type of chemical smell seeping from his pores.

He took something.

“Come on we have to get you to the nurse.” I told him helping him to his feet. It took him a while to get his own feet back under him. He started to shake his head,

“I cann’t goo… to the nurrssssssse” he said leaning heavily on me. Even though his body was flush against mine I couldn’t focus on that I had to get him help.

“We have to” I said dragging him towards the door.

“No!” He pushed me off staggering backwards I was too slow to catch him when he fell on the floor. I rushed over to him,

“Aiden!” I exclaimed hoping he wasn’t hurt but instead he just laughed.

“I can’t go to the nurse” I helped his sit up.

“Because she’ll know” he whispered to me like it was a huge secret.

“What the hell did you take?” I asked sternly. He shook his head and looked at me with hazy eyes. Then he just bust up laughing. Damnit.

“What the hell were you thinking?” I muttered sitting next to him on the floor closing my eyes in apprehension. I felt him touch my cheek and my eyes snapped up.

“I really don’t know” he slurred as he scooted close to me till he was practically in my lap. This caused my wolf to stir. He started to touch my neck softly with his fingertips. He looked really focused on this while I was keeping my wolf at bay.

“Aiden… stop” I said weakly. He smiled,

“You have soft skin” he said his slur was starting to fade. Leaning his head close he began rubbing his cheek against mine and I was hit with his delicious smell tenfold. The sparks were igniting causing my skin to burn with lust for him.

“A-A Aiden-” I stuttered but never finished when I felt his tongue against my neck. I shut my eyes tight as I growled loudly in pleasure, damn him, he found my spot. I heard his giggle.

“You like that don’t you?” He whispered seductively in my ear before licking it again.

“Ah!” I moaned. “Aiden y-you have t-to st-stop now.” Instead he straddled my lap his arms wrapped around my neck but he never moved his mouth from my skin. I could hardly take it anymore. He nibbled on my earlobe and I unwrapped myself from him standing up fast and stood back from him. I saw in the mirror that my eyes were bright yellow just like my dad’s yesterday. Closing them I stood there trying to breathe while Aiden laughed on the floor.

‘I need to help him.’ I scolded myself. I gulped and knelt in front of him again determined to keep my wolf away for the moment.

“Alright were going to leave here k” I asked him but he was far too gone to even response. Sighing I lifted him up but his arms leaning his weight on me as we walked out of the bathroom. No one was in the hall so I headed to the front doors and took him to my car.

“Come on let’s get you home.” I opened my door for him as he staggered in the front seat. Sliding in the driving seat I text Dom real quick to tell him I was taking Aiden home.

-Ok- he replied.

I looked over towards Aiden and he had his eyes closed and his hear resting back. I put the car in drive and headed to his house. Don’t asked me how I know where he lives, I’m not a stocker k. It was a pretty quiet for the drive, I would occasionally look over to him and call his name to make sure he was still with me. He would mumble but that was it. Pulling up to his house I walked over to his side,

“Aiden your home” I said unbuckling his seat belt. “Come on” pulling him to his feet I wrapped my arm around his waist as I put his arm around my neck to keep him up.

“Do you have a key?” His head laid on my shoulder he looked up at me his blue eyes unfocused.

“Pocket.” he muttered into my shoulder. Reaching in his right jean pocket I didn’t feel his keys instead I pulled out a white pill. I stared at it then reached into the other pocket. Grabbing the key I opened the door and carried him in. I followed his scent to a room that held that deliciously overwhelming scent of his. Laying him on his bed he grunted before turning his back to me.

“Aiden?” I called leaning over him to see him completely asleep. As I sat next to him the bed dipping from my weight. I looked closely down at the pill in my hand realizing it was probably an illegal substance. I don’t know much about drugs so I couldn’t tell you exactly what it was but it’s off the streets for sure.

Why the hell does he have this? I glance over to him. Why? Getting up and I threw it in the trash and sat in his computer chair watching him just waiting for him to get up.

There was no way I’m not leaving him like this.

It was around five when he finally stirred. I shot from my seat and rushed over to him. He turned on his back and gazed at the ceiling for a while before turning his head to me. He had a shocked expression on his face as I peered down at him.

“W-what are you doing here?” He asked his voice rough.

“You don’t remember?” I asked, he shook his head frowning. I sat next to him,

“I know you’re not going to like to hear this but you ran into me when you were running from the cafeteria.” I said and watched as his eyes widened. “Everyone was yelling at you and throwing things.”

He shook his head and closed his eyes,

“Do you remember now?” He nodded. There was a tear sliding the side of his face. Shit. “Please don’t… cry.” I begged. I couldn’t stand to see him cry it broke my heart; I just wanted to kill every one that caused him pain. He opened his eyes and gazed at me.

“You were there.” He whispered. “You saw.” I nodded.

“You took some kind of pill?” I said getting to the point he looked away. If he needed help I’ll help him.

He nodded, “Yes” he refused to look at me. I sighed closing my eyes.

“I know you don’t know me but I want to help you.” I said.

“No, you don’t know me! You have no idea what I have to go through so why the hell would I want your help!?” He said defensive, sitting up glaring at me. I was stunned at his reaction.

“Because you need it apparently.” I argued. He shot from the bed glaring down at me.

“NO I DON’T!” he yelled as I stared at him like he was crazy. Why the hell was he yelling at me? “You know what, just go. I don’t need help, I was just weak today and you caught me at a pathetic moment so just go!” He exclaimed as he pointed to the door. I looked from the door to him and shook my head,

“No.” I said quietly. “I found you in the bathroom high off your ass Aiden, you need help especially if you’re taking illegal drugs with who knows what in it!.” My voice stared to rise with anger. “You couldn’t even stand!” I yelled rising to my feet.

He scowled at me, “I don’t need your help!” he screamed pushing at my chest causing me to stagger. “Leave me alone!” He walked over to the door throwing it open and turned towards me thrusting his hand out towards the open door.

“Yeah I’m not going to stop, you can push me away as much as you want but I’m not quitting on you.” I told him calmly walked up to him, pushing him into the wall.

“I’m not going to stop.” I whispered in his surprised face, he looked up staring daggers at me. I wanted to kiss him, make him forget about this but I did what he told me to, I left even though it hurt. I slammed my car door shut and drove off. The moment I arrived in my driveway I made no attempt to move. I just rested my forehead on the steering wheel. I knew that humans could be subjected to drug abuse but I never thought that my mate would be one of them. Werewolves could never get addicted to drugs because our tolerance for any type of substance was burned away by our abnormally high internal temperatures and our cells regenerate damage so quickly they just wipe human drugs out in moments.

So there was no way I would let him do this to his self.
