Epilogue

1 year later – Lucifer

A man always find it hard to settle down and stick to one woman but glancing down the hallway at the woman that was walking towards me I knew that she was the one. I will never choose another. She was mine and I am so glad she was. She made me a happy man and with her I felt complete. She was made for me. She was perfect.

“You ready to go?” I asked her.

She nodded and wrapped an arm around my waist. “So, what will we be doing in Hawaii?”

“That will be a secret.” I responded. She pouted as I moved to grab our luggage.

“What is it with everything being a secret. You have been doing that lately. Is there something you aren’t telling me? Are you seeing someone else? Should I be worried?” She muttered bitterly.

I chuckled and shook my head as I walked out of the pent house with our luggage. We walked to the elevator and once it opened I entered placing the luggage on the ground. I moved to wrap my arms around her as I placed my chin on her shoulder.

“There is no other woman. You are the one for me.” I assured her and kissed her nape.

“Then why can’t you just tell me what we will be doing?”

“We will be relaxing.” I responded.

She huffed. I chuckled again at her response and turned her to face me. I cupped her cheeks in my hands.

“Trust me.”

Her face softened softly. “I do.”

“Then trust me that this will be amazing for you and me.” I replied.

Several hours later, we were in a beach house I rented for a week. Rayna has long since forgotten about my “secrets” and was no longer pouting. She was now dancing around the beach house and running across the beach barefoot. I watched her with a smile on my face.

After a moment I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her. She sighed and leaned back against my chest as we looked at the ocean before us. The sun was just setting and it was perfect.

“It’s beautiful. I love the weather here. I think I could actually live here.” She responded.

I scoffed. “I don’t think so.”

“Why not?” She asked. “You sold your share to Chase. You no longer have to worry about a club. We can actually move here and start something.”

“I sold him my share because I found you and no to moving here but we can start something here.” I responded. She frowned and turned to face me in my arms. I placed my forehead against her.

“What do you mean?” She asked.

I chuckled and moved to cover her eyes with one of my hands. She tried to move it but my firm orders for her to stop squirming stopped her from moving. She huffed and crossed her arms in front of her as she silently waited. I went through my pocket and found the small little red velvet box. I licked my lips a little nervously.

I opened the box and then removed my hand. She squinted a little to adjust her eyesight before looking at me and then down to my hands. She gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. I smiled as I moved to remove her hand.

“I love you, Rayna Johnson. I love you so much to the point where I can’t imagine life without you. You are my sun. I can see my future with you. I will die for you in a heartbeat. I want to tie us together officially. I want to make you mine officially. Will you give me that opportunity to make you happy forever?” I asked. Tears ran down her cheeks and she shook her head. My heart literally stopped. She wiped away her tears.

“You’re an idiot.” She sniffled and wiped another tear. “I love you and of course I will marry you.”

I smiled then and pulled her into my arms as I twirled her around. She squealed and laughed as she wrapped her arms around my shoulder. When I was done I placed her back down before slipping the ring on her finger. She looked down at it with a huge smile before looking up at me.

“Well, now you have me for life, Lucifer.” She stated happily.

I chuckled and moved to cup her cheeks. “And I am the luckiest man alive.”

I leaned down to kiss her on the lips softly before pulling back. Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled wickedly up at me. I narrowed my eyes suspiciously. Her grin grew and she took a step back. Lifting up her dress over her head she dropped the dress on the beach and began walking back. Each step I took toward her she took one back.

“Come here, Rayna.”

She shook her head. “Catch me.”

She turned around with her hands behind her back as she unclasped her bra and letting her bra slip off her shoulders also dropping it to the ground as she burst into a run inside the beach house. I chuckled and ran after her.

“When I catch you, you will be severely punished.”

“I will hold you to that, Lucifer.” She shouted with a giggle and I laughed as I ran after her.
