Prologue

This is a story that begins long, long ago. Back before us Humans even existed. A time where all Spirits were capable of living in peace. However, just because they were capable, doesn’t mean they did.

In this time, the ones who ruled over everything were the ones known as the Dragons Elders. They were all wise and strong dragons, who worked together as a perfect group. Never any arguments accrued, and they made sure every conflict in the world was solved as peaceful as possible. And most of the time, they succeeded.

However, Spirits soon became very ill and couldn’t live with their own power alone. In order to fix this, the 6 Dragon Elders called for Humans to help them. In exchange, they had to keep this world peaceful. They all agreed, and it was peaceful for a few years. The Humans lived in a paralleled Realm to prevent them from being dragged into conflict with the Spirits, and the Spirits kept their Realm for themselves. However, peace never last long.

One of the Human had dark ambitions, corrupting the hearts and souls of many other humans. And so, a big War waged across both the Realm where the Humans lived and the Realm where Spirits ruled. The Dragon Elders knew they had to do something, two of them even suggested to get rid of all Humans, but that was out of the question. They still needed the Humans, so they couldn’t throw them out. Instead, they did something else.

The three strongest Dragons were to find themselves a suitable Human each and fight in both the Realm of Humans and Realm of Spirits. The three were the oldest, strongest and wisest at the time, and they all fought along with their Humans and created peace.

After the new system, with Spirits choosing their Masters at the age of 10, and the Dark Spirits reawaken from their slumber every time a new Human capable of their powers after their Masters die, it turned into a war that lasted for ages.

When the youngest dragon, the strong and wild fire dragon, decided it was enough with all the rules and system. She was young, and despised how the older ones always thought however had the Dark Spirit was bad and the Light Spirit were good. So she abandoned her duties as a Dragon Elder and became a Rouge Spirit.

While she was flying the skies and feeling angered by all the fighting, half her heart became Dark. However, she was a pure being, so this was almost suffocating to her. Knowing what would happen if she didn’t do anything, she lay down in a small cave and went to sleep, waiting for her death.

However, when she awoke the next day, the pain was gone, and an unknown dragon was on the outside of her cave. It was a coal black, and his eyes were golden amber. Despite being a Dark dragon, which was a symbol of Darkness in that time, he did not seem like he wanted to harm her. In fact, he was identical to her.

With her new found partner, they both travelled together, going different paths in order to hide the fact they were working together. Although the fire dragon didn’t care, the dark dragon wanted to keep her safe. And they were able to hide it as well.

While they both were getting along, there were times they started having arguments, but neither of them hurt each other. This is when Spirits start thinking that maybe Dark Spirits aren’t all bad. However, some thought this would only give them more power.

The Dragon Elders thought for the safety of all the Spirits and Humans. So, they banished the dark dragon to a place far away and the fire dragon was forced to stay in the area she was. Her hatred for the Elders grew, and she was almost at the stage where she wanted them dead. On the other hand, some of them were close friends of hers. And she had a sort of rule of not killing if she wasn’t going all of them, she wouldn’t kill any of them.

In the later years, her friendship with them faded in the past and she got more reason to kill them. In 1000 years after the incident, the fire dragon found a suitable Master, and went against the biggest rule of all Spirits. The rule was to not choose a Master before they were 10 years. However, the dragon wanted to find some way to find her old partner again, and so she chose her Master right after she was born.
