Life can be interpreted in an infinite number of ways.
I never thought there could be any other perspective of it other than mine, but then I had the opportunity to be proved wrong.
There is bad in the world, one said. There is disappointment.
Yes, I replied, but there is also wonder and excitement.
They just looked at me as if I were an oblivious little boy.
But they didn’t understand that I saw the world just fine... but only from my point of view.
So, my possy from that night (you know who you are), this is a letter to you.
Life is full of disappointments and let-downs and sad moments, but for every step backward, there’s two steps forward in your own personal game of life. For every crying spell, there’s an epiphany to match.
Don’t be mad at me, as well, for leaving you all like this. This wasn’t my choice, but rather my fate. But remember this, the four of you, and don’t forget it - don’t even doubt it. Meeting you all was the best thing I could ask for at my state. You all taught me the things I never knew or even thought twice about. You all taught me how to love, how it feels to grieve, how disappointment can be felt so harshly, how the loss of one can leave such an empty hole in your heart. And I cannot thank you all enough for that.
Because, like I said earlier, I never knew there was any other take on life besides mine. It’s awfully selfish of me to say that, but it’s true. So thank you, my storytellers, and farewell. Good luck on your journey.
