Enthralling

What a marvellous story!

I have always adored books like this — books with a hearty amount of romance and fantasy. But even then, the small script prior to reading truly piqued my interest.

Beyond The Deep Water captured my attention from the very start. There was something about it that would make one so curious and compelled to find out how the story unfolds. That plot was well thought out and although I was very annoyed at how many times Adam's name was mentioned each chapter, everything eventually fell right into place.

Also, the epilogue was very exciting. Surely the perfect scenario to leave readers hanging and interested. However, if I would be very critical, the grammar and lack of proper punctuations were the weakest points of this beautiful tale. There were lots of instances where nouns should be written with apostrophes. For example, "Axl's, Paloma's, ect. and use of commas where they shouldn't be and the absence when they were needed. The story was enchanting enough to immerse you right into the plot, but such errors were rather distracting.

Even so, I very much enjoyed the reading experience I have gotten from this story. It was a joy to read and with proper editing, it would be so much better. Guaranteed.

I cannot wait to read the sequel!

Enjoyable, But Somewhat Lacking

"A ruler is a rock, not swayed by grief nor desire..."

What a great tale of bravery! In Felicity's part, anyway. The book started off really well. I like that the key dimensions were represented properly, with their ranks and roles explained thoroughly. But even when I find the book enjoyable, there were things I find quite lacking.

I'm not really sure whether to love or hate the story, but I didn't regret reading it. In my opinion, I can say that the sequencing progressed quite well. It's just that...there were so many things going on at the same time but for some reason, I never found any real conviction with the plot nor the characters. The prose was good as well as the plot whilst being bland at the same time. It would be great if there was one really strong character that stood out. The ending wasn't that satisfying for me as well. I need closure! (laughs)

If there was any redeeming quality, it was how the book was written in general. Proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation were all utilized in a way that even people with limited knowledge of the English language would be able to understand the words easily. Everything was so well-written, I may have to check the author's other book.

A Beautiful Tragedy

There are a lot of books that can move us, and this is probably the first time I feel like crying after finishing the last chapter. This particular story is captivating, heartbreaking, and beautiful at the same time. I understand that this is a rough draft, I, however, isn't that much bothered by all the grammatical errors. I just wish the notes had been removed or finalized before putting it up online. The plot is good, but I wish we could've gotten more insight about the extent of the abuse that the siblings endured to understand why Victoria is the way she is. Also, the epilogue would've been better in my opinion if Tristan did not make a premonition as it seems that Tom is familiar of his previous life. Yes, the story have lots of errors, but there are also a lot to love about it which I find truly amazing.

A Good Read

We are all fucked up in some way — some more so than others. It's just a matter of choice as to how we live our lives. Whether we choose to run, better ourselves, or stay the same and waste away. This is a story of five problematic people who decided to live together in one roof after meeting and becoming friends whilst attending a support group. Five people struggling with their demons at every waking moment in the hopes of overcoming them. For me, this book has great insights on how we all cope differently. It's great to witness Lizzie, Tav, Henry, Taron, and Jarred in the quest of finding themselves. I really enjoyed reading this book. The ending is surprisingly satisfying and the epilogue — albeit short, is perfect for the mood this story had set in. There are many things going around but none of them really bothered me as I truly find each character's background quite fascinating. If I had to complain about something, it's probably the editing as I felt it was done haphazardly. Taron became Tristan on the last chapter and there were some words that got confused with another, like "then" and "than" and the likes. Still a great story though, a job well done!

Holy Casper, Yes!

We always find a book we can relate to. This one speaks to those who are afraid to love, those who took leaps of faith, those who lost someone they love, and those who fought the struggles of life and survived. Anyone can relate to any of the characters in this book. They all grew into their own person and their interactions is the icing on top. I really enjoyed reading this. I can tell that each scene is a well thought out concept carefully written to evoke feelings from the reader. Each chapter will take you to emotional highs and lows. Moments of grief, anger, happiness, and contentment are all perfectly conveyed especially in the form of Alex's character. The plot is great and the sex scenes are hot! I also love the fact that the author did not skimp out on the chapters. My only complaint is that certain words are confused with another, such as "their" to "there", "you're" to "your", etc. Those certainly didn't keep me from burying my nose into the book, just minimal errors that are easily fixed through editing. No big deal. I truly wish more people can find and read this as I truly believe this book is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. I will certainly keep an eye on the author behind this brilliant piece of work.

Great Book!

I started reading this a few months back and finally got to finish it just now. From the start, I had always thought that this was a very well written story that I highly enjoyed reading. I was not disappointed. It has a very interesting plot that I became so much into it. Amazing work, really. Everything was neat and polished, I didn't even notice any mistake. I was glad everything worked out well for Anabella, and the plot twist regarding Chuck and Hank was a surprise that added more flair to the story. I like how her relationship with Gunner progressed and well, basically...this book took a tiny piece of my heart haha. I thought it was that good. The ending with Rene was perfect as well, I thought it was clever to end things off of where it began. Mad props to the author! I hope you get published soon and I will surely check out more of your works in the near future. Great, great, great job!

Well Done!

Very nicely written. The prose is good as are the plot and the story progression. A good balance of romace and erotica, to which I very much enjoyed reading. Kit and Cole have great chemistry, and their dialogues feel natural to me. I did find very few mistakes like double words and Chapters 12-15 are basically the same, so I missed a good chunk of the story. I don't know how Cole proposed and how they got Yang, but I don't mind it very much as everything is sort of laid out already. It's something that you get the idea of very quickly and wouldn't leave you confused. Despite the missing and duplicate chapters, I still rate this book 5 stars overall. It only needs some slight polishing as it's already good as it is. Great job! PS. Maybe add a little French translation as a bonus? I'm lucky enough to be a polyglot and understand Français, but I think it would be a nice little touch to those who are not familiar with the language. It's not critical nor required, but perhaps it'll be a nice addition.

Very Captivating — A Total Gem!

In an industry so saturated, it's quite hard to find original ideas. This, however, is one of its kind. From the concept, to the plot, and to the story progression...I can tell that Haley have really thought this through.

Sure, you may spot some grammatical errors but for the plot alone, they're not enough to take your concentration from reading. This is one of those books that are so intriguing, they suck you right in. And if you love a good dark romance, I can guarantee that you will crave for the next chapters.

What I love the most about Pet is that not only does it provide great entertainment for readers, but it also raise social awareness. It's quite refreshing to read about our social evolution throughout the course of history up to the present mixed with fiction. Massive kudos to Haley for perfectly expressing the essence of man, even the traits that make us ugly.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful

We all have read and watched clichés at some point in our lives, and this is no different. But even though this book is basically a copious amount of clichés filed in one story, it has a certain kind of pull that will suck you right in. A pull that compels you to read until you're finished. I initially thought of writing an in depth review for this book, but I decided against it as potential readers may not appreciate the spoilers. This is very well written, it evokes strong feelings to the point where you will just brush off the very minimal grammatical errors. None will take your experience off of it. The plot seems like a well thought out concept executed well. My only gripe is that (although I think the ending is great) there isn't any bonus chapter of Sadie and Connor reuniting — now that is something I'm very keen to read up about. But despite this, I quite enjoyed the entire journey of reading the book. It makes me look forward to the author's next offering. Amazing work!

Highly Entertaining!

To be honest, I thought I wouldn't enjoy That Dumb Girl at first as the beginning of the story was a little rocky for me. But I kept reading, and the plot gained better as I went on and peaked when Ashley decided to turn her life around. I adore this book. It was very funny and every character was charismatic on their own right. Though there were quite a lot of grammar mistakes, those can be fixed with a little editing. Personally, the book needs some polishing but I wouldn't really touch the plot. I thought it was already perfect as was the prose. I highly enjoyed reading this and it was a job well done. Cheers!

NOOO!!

Oh my gosh. Is this finished? I hope not. Please give us more! This book is brilliant! Naming the protagonists Pince and Cindy was so clever lol. Major props to the author for a very well written story. I thought the plot was pretty straightforward, but the book in itself was indeed very interesting. I just love how character interactions and dialogues were lively and not at all flat. I didn't even notice any grammatical error and I find the story quite polished already. Even then last chapter could pass up as an ending, but I'm really hoping that that wasn't the case as I would love to know what happens next. Brilliant work, Lisa! I will be checking out more of your works in the future. I hope to see I Saw Her Standing There on Inkitt Exclusive Reads to be published! Excellent, truly excellent.

A Beautiful Tale Of Love & Trust

This story is...beautiful. I cannot think of a more fitting word to describe it as I went through chapters. It is very well written, and the way Andrew and Sophie connected throughout the book was so natural and not at all flat in my opinion. Yes, I did notice minor mistakes such as certain words being confused with another. For example, "than" became "then", "altar" became "alter", etc., but none of them took the experience off of the book. It just sucked me right in. The plot progressed quite well and the use of scene beaks were appropriate for the scenes that needed them. I highly enjoyed reading this little gem and I guarantee that someone else will do too, but my only gripe is that the epilogue was a little too short for my liking. It almost felt unfinished and somewhat lacklustre. But all in all, excellent story and I hope it gets published soon!

Enjoyable But Confusing

I quite enjoyed reading this story. However, I think it will greatly benefit from proper event sequencing. I understand that it's a short read...but the plot was so rushed, at some point it made my head spin. Scene breaks will be great as well, as sometimes it can be hard to distinguish if a certain scene is still a part of another. For what it's worth, this book is still a good read despite errors that needed to be fixed. Unoriginal plot, but a good read nonetheless. I know it has the potential to be much better once edited. Great effort!

Interesting...

I wish the author had taken a little bit of effort to remove the ending notes at every chapter. It's just too obvious that this was copy pasted from Wattpad. Whilst it's not a bad thing (I love the fact that I can now find my favourite Wattpad writers on here as well), Inkitt is a publishing company and they mean business. Also, I am familiar with the author as I have read some of her works on Wattpad before, and Leila may have been the most infuriating female protagonist she has ever created (laughs). The plot is quite interesting and the writing is passable. There were few grammatical and spelling errors, missing punctuations, etc., to which I didn't really mind. However, the lack of proper phasing and scene breaks were quite a let down. I know the author would still grow and improve over time, and despite the few mistakes, this book was still enjoyable.

Almost There...

This is one of those "hmm" stories for me. Don't get me wrong, I love me some werewolf novels but...this one needs a whole lot of tweaking before it's ready for primetime. Another story that I think has the potential to be great, but a lot of things are weighing it down. Things that are essentially noticeable. It's distracting, and it takes the experience off of the story. The plot is good, though. There are moments when I wanted to stop reading due to grammatical errors. Every paragraph are run on sentences too. Missing punctuations, proper capitalization, the lot. Editing is a proper must. To the author, please do not take my words to heart. Rather, use them to improve on your writing. This is just the start. You will be great, and I admire you for putting out a novel. You still have more room to grow as a writer, and I know that you'll get better. Kudos!

Amazing!

First off, very interesting plot. Sure, I have read romances that involved gangs and other debauchery but...this is different. It took me to emotional heights and I agree with another reviewer, Scarlet is very relatable. I love how her and Roman's love unfold organically and I adore the side characters too. The plot twist regarding Roman having an amnesia surprised me, I find it well thought out and I'm glad everything turned out alright in the end. Dialogues aren't flat, story progression is great and the scene phase is perfect. Prose is great as well. Ending is perfect! I noticed few grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, missing words, and some missing quotations but that can be easily solved with minor editing. All in all, this book is nearly polished for me, and I hope to see it in Inkitt Exclusive Reads someday. Job well done!

I'm In Love!

Omg, please give us more! Pretty sure I've seen this particular book on Inkitt Exclusive Reads, so congratulations on being published. The story is nearly perfect, very well written and perfectly executed. The plot is spot on, and the prose is good as well. I have to commend the author on how flawless the scene breaks and shifts were done. Also, I hope to find out what happened to Parker after the dance. All the other side characters are written well too and the dialogues are moving. I love that nothing fell flat on this story. Simply amazing!

OMG

It this really finished? I hope not. Please don't end it like that. The story is good, I'd have to give it to Andrea. It would greatly benefit from a little editing though, the mistakes are quite distracting and sometimes it takes the experience off of the story. I love the plot overall, but I truly felt like it was unfinished. I hope there is a part two somewhere or you can give us a little bonus epilogue. The ending really left me wondering. I suppose that's what you're going for, but a proper ending would be perfect since this one seems rushed. Still a good read nonetheless. Good job!

Beautiful Story!

I fell in love with the plot and sequence of this story. Beautifully written, although it would greatly benefit from a little editing. Things such as "you're" got confused with "your", some spelling check like with "alter", and when the author was telling Lucas' story but wrote Hunter instead. I also have to agree with another reviewer here that the story felt quite unfinished. I was hoping the epilogue would be a bit longer.. a little glimpse of the future, perhaps? But other than that, truly a great story. Highly recommended!

Wow

I am captivated by this story. I just love how it unravels as Abby slowly realises how bland and lifeless her relationship is. Although this does not make cheating okay...ever, the book is very well written and April surely knows how to build her characters well. I'm not gonna lie, there were moments where I got frustrated at the main protagonist's denial for her feelings. Maybe it just needs very little editing, but otherwise a very good read and I look forward to checking more works from the same author.
