“I know you.” He spoke completely in awe of the woman that stood before him.
She was far more beautiful that he had pictured and his breath was instantly stolen when their eyes first met from across the room.
A curious smile rose to her lips as their eyes met yet again, she was much closer this time. He intrigued her with only those few, simple words, even though it did sound rather creepy. Taking in as much as she could about him with her eyes, she carefully thought out her response. He had to have found her journal and carefully read the ink stained pages to know who she was despite the fact that he was a complete stranger. Even so, she wasn’t quite sure how to respond to his statement.
The way that she was looking at him, coupled with the time she was taking, was making him a thousand times more nervous than he had been just walking over to her table. He wished that she would say something, anything to ease his nerves so that he wouldn’t completely lose it and walk away.
After a long moment, she gently closed the book she had been reading moments prior, her lips lifting slightly as she answered, “You’ve found my journal, haven’t you?”
