Inspiration for this poem came from the web site for Panoramic Images, the Peanuts special “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the song “When I Hear A Christmas Song” by Dennis DeYoung and the two movies “The Linda McCartney Story” and “Snoopy, Come Home.”

Chapter 1

On this New Year’s Eve,

Flowers explode in the sky!

Let’s go to Iceland!

All fun-loving kids,

They are skating on the ice!

They see miracles!

Flowers in the sky,

They are green, red, and purple!

They create rainbows!

This Christmas Eve Sky,

It has countless points of light.

Jeffrey feels lucky.

He and Lilly Louise,

They have loved without limits.

Christmas is special.

Wives and their husbands,

They bring their kids to remote lands!

They enjoy Christmas!

Wives and her husbands,

They take their kids on fun rides!

They spin round and round!

Rikki and Mikey,

They travel to remote lands!

They spin round and round!

Angels in New York,

They keep skaters company!

Katie Reynolds: This is a great children's book. I think Sockland has a beautiful concept. Arnie takes you on this incredible journey to discover where socks go to. It was a good read. There were a few spelling mistakes, grammatical errors but with a proof-read - easily changed. However, I thought for a children...

Laraine Smith: My only suggestion on the grammar is to use www.grammarcheck.net. I have it bookmarked on Google Chrome. I see myself in the determination in this beautiful story! I have Cerebral Palsy, and I have dreams that I have been working hard for, too! The humor made me laugh!

Laraine Smith: This reminded me of a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie called "Help For The Holidays!" I love the little boy's innocence and love for the Christmas holiday! :)

beaded_elephant: I love this story, I love how intricate and in-depth the characters and their relationships with each other are. The plot of this story is really good, you won't want to stop reading.

Bdesjardind: Great story-loved the creative characters and their interaction. Liked the different powers used for each character and excellent clash of food and evil. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to see what happens next!

Omega: In awe of this writer's ability to set a scene, all be it a dark and disturbing one. Feels true to the characters and shows a good understanding of the human psyche. Can recommend, but may touch a nerve if you have suffered abuse.
