As I begin again anew and come to you to say pay attention!
In these last days, to those who will believe as I do, it is through watching the signs of the times and the wicked ways as the days seem to fly by in the blinking of an eye. You would ask why we die when I see through these eyes and surmise the damage being done. I, for one, praise our Father in heaven and thank him for the sevens embedded in my mind, body, and soul as I roll through these streets and this life, asking him for forgiveness for the things I have done, accepting his son as my Lord and Savior always. So as I write these words to tell you what it is you do, as I see you and ask you in this day and age. As war rages and you turn the pages of my book, look within yourself and see the misery we cause with our actions toward each other no matter the color of skin, breed, or creed. The deed we do to each other who are made in his image. What right have any of you to take a life which he has given us as a blessing lesson to be learned. I, for one, am trying
my best to pay heed to the Ten Commandments that he has given us to follow. I ask you, what is wrong with what has been written in stone to follow? I list them now as follows:
I am the lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the lord thy God in vain; for the lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh
day: wherefore the lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the lord thy God giveth thee.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.
So, what is wrong with these commandments? Please tell me. I bet you cannot find anything wrong with these basic laws to follow for decent living, respect, honor, and values.
While you remove these things, you wonder why we die or why the world is the way it is today. Since the beginning, Adam and Eve believe as he has said to not eat from the tree, for once the apple was bitten and they were deceived, we have done everything possible to kill ourselves and each other. So I ask you why you ask why when we lie, deceive, and treat each other so. As I continue through this life and these days, seeing the lack of morals and values, I see the misery we cause each other, no matter the color. I am not perfect and do not claim to be, but I do know I try my best to treat people
as I wish to be treated, but in return, what have I gotten in most part? I have been used, abused by most, and I do not condemn or bitch or moan, but as I have grown and opened my eyes and have gotten older, I tell you now in this book and henceforth at times, I may look crazy or whatever, but I have not hurt anyone of you. So I say to you, what are you looking at? It’s not a game. Is there a problem what it is?
And now, as I move on to other matters, I am releasing my stress and addressing issues and things I see around me. I give respect as I say respect is given until you give me a reason not to respect you. Some say it is earned. I say everyone is due respect until given a reason not to be respected. I also say that I would prefer love rather than fear. Because if you truly love me, then you would see no harm come to me, but if you fear me, then there is no telling what you would do. I have love for all, no matter the color, race, or breed, but understand that I don’t fear you either. You would not want me to fear you because I might then react in a way not appropriate. You do not have any right to take the gift of life our Father has given me. If you think to try, I will defend myself. Now to other matters. Once again, understand where I am coming from. I give praise to our Creator, our Father in heaven, and my Savior, and thank him for his mercy, love, and blessings. My station, our station, to be caretakers of creation and not destroyers. Now let us begin. This is just the beginning of many more to come as I live and breathe poems, writings, music, and whatever he may bless me with.
RodRaglin: Your writing is very good, Rachel, but remember you also have to entertain the reader and in that regard it's a bit sparse in action and dialogue.Consider when revising...When starting a new story always consider your protagonist's Goal - what they want; Motivation - why they want it; and, Confli...
Laraine Smith: My only suggestion on the grammar is to use www.grammarcheck.net. I have it bookmarked on Google Chrome. I see myself in the determination in this beautiful story! I have Cerebral Palsy, and I have dreams that I have been working hard for, too! The humor made me laugh!
Jacklyn Reynolds: As a mother of an Autistic child, I know how hard it can be. I love how beautiful you made everything. That's all I can say. I need to grab a tissue.
Lacey Schmidt: The Trouble with Super is that you can't stop reading it. Mr. Barrett's characters are all to easy to relate to even if you don't have a super quirk of your own, and their plight is both heart-rendingly funny and heart-warmingly sad at the same time. It's a bit like Office Space meets the Matri...
borkarprasad: Story was overall a good experience. I liked that the truth unraveled slowly and kept me in edge every time I changed the chapter. I would love to read more volumes to this legacy and be glad to read it from a published book. Great work!!!!!!!!!
Michael Hogan: If anyone would advise Lindsey Martin-Bower not to mix religion and politics, she would probably tell them to take a hike. This rollicking novella does just that. It considers the case of Yung Sung Gonne and his Universality Church and two young women trying to bring it down. Frustrated by the ru...
Animeviewer: It is one of the best stories I've ever read. This story will have you riding a roller coaster of emotions and nearly dying to know what happens next. You will get very attached to the characters and in my case I relate well with some of their very traumatic or emotional experiences, Just Juliet f...
AnnaLucia: This fanfiction has an amazing plot. It's very different from the books, yet the author still managed to keep the personalities the characters had in the books. Your Alec and Magnus still are themselves, even though you created a different plot where Bane had to seduce Lightwood to get informati...
Arda Tukenmez: i have nothing to say other than that this story was absolutely amazing. the heartbreak at the end was unexpected and honestly left me in tears. when is the sequel? i hope that this story will have a happy ending, i cant wait to see whats in store for sydney and conrad.
ank1983: I really enjoyed this story and I read through it quickly. I found it very entertaining and some of your scenes were very well written and descriptive. Every time a chapter ended I couldn't wait to start the next chapter. What girl hasn't fantasized over a cute teacher at school?! The story did...
sujitha nair: What's so distinct about this story was that it could easily be real. Praveena can be your classmate, neighbor or that girl you saw at the coffee shop today. The important decisions she makes and the dilemmas she faces, remind us of our own twisted lives.
jseversky: Was amazing loved every second of it I really want to read more, and definitely would. Hope the author makes a 2nd book. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, loved it. The author describes everything in in new and innovative ways, and love the 2 separate view points.
