I'm Britney, and I have Aspergers Syndrome. I'm a 12-year-old girl, and if you didn't know only 1/4 of people diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome are women. In this book, I will describe what life is like to have Aspergers Syndrome from a girl's point of view, that is going into adolescence.

Intro

Hi, my name is Britney and, I have Aspergers (Or high functioning Autism). In this book, I will describe what life is like having Aspergers.

It is very different you think it is. It is not a disability, I am not Autistic, I am a smart individual, in fact, last year I was awarded a scholarship for outstanding achievements, to go into high school (year 7).

I have always had a hard time talking to other people and understanding emotions, I always have, but that can be improved. Anyway, for me, emotions are really confusing, I don't understand how they work. So, try to involve yourself in a group, use a safety word to tell others when you don't what they mean, or learn slowly.
