A warrior spirit.

The Warrior Within

It is too easy to hear the word 'warrior' and associate it with aggression.

I am not aggressive - I remain fearless of everything other than my own coward weaknesses that I am blind to.

A warrior attacks you may say, ready for war.

I merely protect and defend. May there be a need for me to attack to provide security to those who have my word to them; then so be it.

Warriors are selfish; fickle.

No, A warrior must always put others first and speak from the heart so the actions follow suit.

My warrior mentality means that I am passionate to protect until my last drop has been shed.

I expect the power challenges of life.

I am ready to kick and bounce back upon awakening as I proceed through the challenge.

My pain makes me stronger for I have endured a challenge gaining my scars as I learn to grow.

To be a warrior indicates self-discipline and self-motivation.

So when I howl out, I howl to awaken the warrior...

But my strength comes with a price for me.

When raged it brings the wrath of inferno and I remain blind to anything other than my targets to neutralize.

So forgive me, I do hear your pleas as you attempt to stop me.

I understand you do not desire to see me hurt.

Try not to block the path, I may not see you as I charge forth.

Know I will return to you.

I know I shall require your healing.

Your gentle hands upon my wounds.

Your words of pride and praise in my ear.

When duty is complete I shall return.

Please my ray of light;

Allow me to fall to my knees before you.

Lay upon your lap as I recharge.

Gaze into your eyes and be reminded of why I am strong.

Patrick Johns: The Prince was an exciting read. I enjoyed the spoiled bratty protagonist and his drastic change through out the story. The world building was well though out and clear. The author did a great job painting a picture for the reader without having a map. I liked the connection to real life leaders....

Avell Kro: I've only just started reading this, but I can see that this writer really knows her stuff. Her theme is painful and traumatic, and her sense of place is deep and strong. Being originally from Yorkshire myself the story resonates with me personally, but this is good writing. I look forward to com...
