Good

It was fast paced, but nice. They got to know each other- so that is something that I liked, but she kept getting mad at him, although it was for reasonable reasons she never talked to him about it until he found out. That kind of frustrated me.

Not cliche

This books I really fun a super intriguing, the mystery was very well done.
At the begining I thought that it was going to be super cliche, specially since they hated each other(and he was a bad boy, she is a good girl), but what was fun is that they stayed that way for a long time, it wasn't hate to love in 0.2 seconds, they had development over time, so we could see how they started getting to know each other and think "hey maybe they aren't so bad" which I really like because it's more realistic.

The main character, I loveeeed. She was strong, she could hold her own but still she wasn't the over the top bitch that hates the queen bee immediately and starts throwing shade to everyone she meets.

I didn't like Kaleb as much (don't get me wrong, I didn't hate him) but he was a bit bipolar liking her one time and hating her the other. Also the alcohol and anger issues were never talked about, but It wasn't a deal breaker, although it would have been better if mentioned more.

The resolution to all the conflicts are very well done, you get to know why her parents died, why she was being followed, why he doesn't have his parents, so the book really lets you feel completed around those things and not like "is that REALLY that reason-_-?"

Prepare to giggle

This book was so fun to read, it was a very enchanting love story: they met when they were young, met various times, and in the end the fact that he played around the fact that she once had a fantasy of them when she was a teen was super clever for me. It was super romantic and was like a cycle because the thing not only was this used to tell us that she had a crush on him at the beginning, but also to make the ending all the more sweet.
The main characters were very nice, he wasn't a bad boy or a player or whatever the best friend of the brother usually is. In fact he is really respectful and super loyal and may I just say I want an Ethan in my life.
Bailey was also a fun character she isn't stupid or super jealous, she did have in the first chapter sex with other guy (I am not doing any spoilers, is literally the first chapter) and I was laughing by how awkward it all was. And that was the thing about this book, it got me to feel exactly what the author wanted me to feel, because when they got together I couldn't.stop.giggling. it was like I was living it and all of their sweet gestures made me realize how I'm never gonna get an Ethan. So yeah. I think I might take a star for making me fall in love for a fictional character (jk)
The plot was overall very simple and not very hard to follow, it was centered around their relationship and not the actions around them (like in a fantasy or action book) so it was very easy to believe they were in love and to cheer them on.

Makes you feel

Ohh this book gives me feelings. You hate people with a burning passion.
Lya comes from a respectful family that has being attacked by hunters and has dwindled so much they need to go to a Brazilian pack for cover. This is the first thing I like about this book: it doesn't take place in the typical USA. They speak French, Portuguese and English. I think that makes it cool.
From the beginning you have a feeling that this pack is not very nice. The Luna is overbearing, they aren't empathic to their losses, they offer her like a trading chip to one of the alpha's son's... At the beginning it is just small things that annoy you but they don't really are reasons to hate anybody. And the male character is charming and very respectful so that makes it all better.

It all goes badly when her pack is thrown out -or more specifically, the males- since they can "protect themselves without the women". Forgetting the fact that this is very sexist (because that DOES bother me, but I'll let it go since it looks like it is part of the plot of the book and not how the author feels about women). The alpha is a son of a bitch (lol pun intended) and separates them cruelly, without letting them leave all together, or giving them a chance to gather themselves. They have to leave the female children behind, and this causes Lyn to be in charge of all of them and unpledge her allegiance to the alpha because he doesn't really deserve any respect after separating a family that has gone thru so much separations already.

In all of this Lyn is a very likeable character. She protects her family, she sacrifices herself for a punny year of safety, and after this happens she understandably never kneels or shows weakness, and actually gets mad at her mate, who by the way knew about the separation before hand, and also keeps things from her. I also think he has some tendency to being violent and forced her into accepting his stupid costumes that clearly she isn't comfortable.

I don't know how to feel about her mate and I love it, because it is really good how the author makes us love Gaius and then he starts protecting his family stupid decisions and forcing her into them, and you start feeling the exact betrayal she is feeling, but you still believe he can be better, so you feel conflicted, and you don't know how is gonna end. I LOVE WHEN A BOOK MAKES ME FEEL THE EXACT FEELING THE MAIN CHARACTER DOES.

The alpha, I wish would just die. Or get attacked by hunters so he can feel what they been thru. I like the second option better because his pack deserve it.

All in all, I am liking the book, it still isn't finished, but i needed to review it before I forgot about the plot. There are some things I wish would happen like her escaping with her sisters, and knowing if Gaius cheated on her(and if he did, I wish Lya can cut his dick), and them being kinder to Lya (but that is not happening)... There are a lot of things really.

The only thing that I would have to say negatively about the book is how the first chapter unfolds. It's incredibly confusing because of all of the names and relationships. The chapter has way to much names and at first I didn't want to read the book because it was so confusing to remember so much names and how are they related to the Main character. It would be better to say "I see my sister dead, or my cousin is crying" or whatever, and then present them slowly with defining characters so we can remember them.

Good

Very entertaining book. It doesn't have a complicated plot, Sienna is a dominant wolf that refuses to have sex with anyone but her mate. She meets Aiden, he claims her and tells her that alphas usually have to get to know their mates really well so they can fall in love like normal mates. And that is the book.
They get to know each other which I loved, because usually werewolf books have instalove and i don't really like it. So the fact that they fight, laugh and get to know each other was perfect.
I also loved that there wasn't the typical "there is a bad werewolf rogue after us" or "I am about to die so I meet a ghost or the moon goddess". The book, like I said was pretty simple, but I wasn't super cliche. She was a strong girl, although she cried and was kind of clingy sometimes. And he was very nice and understanding. They weren't super possessive or toxic in any way, so I really liked that.
The bad thing about this book is that it was too centered on sex. From beginning to end the plot is all around sex. It's not bad, but I would have liked more depth. Aside from that I found the story likeable.
I do think that the book has to get grammar checked because some sentences didn't make sense (I am not a native English speaker so I usually don't realize when this happens, but there were sometimes were it looked like there was some autocorrect that changed the words that were intended into different ones)

Bad representation of abuse

Abuse is such a hard subject to approach that I often wonder if the author made some effort to investigate about it. I could only read up until chapter 14, because I found the book to be too unbearable (although I know this is fiction, I take this topic very seriously, and I like to find books that have a good representation of it with a happy ending. Unfortunately this was not it). So there might be some things that were fixed later in the book, I don't know, I won't finish it.
Allison is living with an abusive parent who hits her and treats her like shit. She never tried to escape, ask for help or simply defend herself. I understand that she doesn't trust anyone and obviously defending herself could backfire, so that makes sense. But she tries to kill herself. Without trying to call 911, or escaping, or telling her teachers. Only when you are out of options, is when suicide is considered an understandable plot point. Otherwise it sounds like you want just for her to be a damsel in distress until she finds a guy that saves her because she can't do anything for herself.

Tommy is a highschooler alpha. Which makes no sense whatsoever because he is a teen, still in school, with two very living and healthy parents. He wants to meet his mate, because he has been waiting for her for 2 years and very conveniently he finds her the same day he talks to his family about how he wants to meet her. Their first meeting was proof that I was not gonna ship them at all: he hears crying, goes into the girls bathroom and opens the stall because he know his mate is there and immediately he starts trying to approach her even when she looks completely abused. First of all, entering the girls bathroom is one thing, but opening her stall?. That's a big invasion of privacy. She could have been with diarrhea or cramps for all he knew. Also, when you are crying in the bathroom and you are in the stall is clear that you want to be alone so you can put yourself together. The correct thing would be to wait for her to go out, when she is ready and is ready to face the world, and then asked her kindly how he can help; the incorrect thing is appearing out of nowhere demanding trust that you don't deserve because you are a stranger.
After that he makes it worse by been agressive in his questioning.which is a constant issue in this book. He never tries to approach her slowly, gain her trust, demonstrate how he cares or how he can be someone she can rely on. He constantly is pushing her into things she is not ready to do. He forces her into a date, he barges into her house, yells at her when she doesn't want to go to his home, gets mad when she doesn't trust him.... He even tells her that his family care about her so she can't kill herself, but there is not a proof of that anywhere. Yes his mother worries about her and his sister talked to her(once), but that doesn't garantee total trust. Her own father turned on her, so the fact that he gets mad at her for not believing when he says that is totally unrealistic.

There are several inconsistencies in the book like not knowing why her father did a 180° on her, her knowing her bus driver in her second day in the city, or the hunters appearing at her house and then questioning why she was there... .
I don't hate the book, but I didn't like how toxic the relationship between Tommy and Allison was developed. The lack of her having a personality also made it very hard for me to feel anything. She loves pizza, is abused, scared and doesn't talk that much. That made it difficult to feel things other than a superficial pity

Good

I like this story, it's very original. The romance is super cute between Eve and Day, and even though it's pretty quick(in a span of a few days), they get to know each other and I like that a lot.
The plot is quite difficult: Eve is kidnapped and treated as an animal by aliens, when Dax (some sort of a galactic police) finds her and realizes she will be treated as a slave when they find out she actually can think. He tries to save her, but they kidnap her again and they find out that she is pregnant so they become more interested, but eventually dax saves her again. After that there is a lot of them talking about their traditions and trying to find the guilty ones for trying to use human and other species for their genetic material.
The book isn't finished yet but it's very good and interesting

Excellent

Not cliche
Very interesting
...
Usually I wouldn't like her kind of character, mad at life and snapping at everyone, but it's very well done and she is consistent. She is honest and she is not hiding nor is she planning for people to "see thru her pain" She is what she shows and I love it.

Holden is a good guy until we find his secret for trying to put her together, and honestly, I liked how she didn't fall in love with him, but also learned something from him. Very well done
And the ending with Andrew. That plot was beautifully done and it made me smile. (Also it gives and open ending for us to believe she may have a future with this producer)

The secondary characters at the beginning you don't know how to feel about them, but Blair is always honest about her dislike, and after I learned about what they did and how they expect for everything to be the same, i just felt that I liked Blair even better by treating them how they deserved to be treated.
Loved the book.

Couldn't finish it

There are several reasons I couldn't finish this book, but the one that annoyed me the most was the main character. She is so angry, and moody that is annoying. She gets mad at everyone when they are trying to be nice and this bothers me, because it would be normal if she treated like this her bullies, but she does it with everyone. She starts yelling out of nowhere and, it's a personal opinion, but is just to rude for me.
I usually like to get the story finished so I can point out the inconsistencies correctly, but since I was too tired with the MC to try, then I will have to say something that I don't know if it gets fixed later in the book: why is she going thru so much trouble to hide herself? She wants to appear nerdy and shy, but the first things she does when a guy (that hasn't done anything to her) talks to her is tell him that she isn't interested in a bitchy way. If she wants to appear invisible then she is doing a terrible job.
And for what? I know maybe this fights are illegal so she doesn't want to be recognized for being in this kind of activities, or that she doesn't want to be separated from her brother, but she could have just ask to be emancipated and prove that she can maintain herself and her brother. (Or her brother could also emancipate since he is not a little kid).

It doesn't matter if she is a fighter or not, I don't think many high schoolers go to this kind of fights.
And even if they did, the fact that she acts shy, won't make it seem like she is a totally different person, because she already hides her appearance. Two girls in the same town can have exactly the same trouble with anger and it doesn't mean they're are the same person. There is no necessity for her to be a "nerd".

Nice

The book isn't finished Yet so the review could change, but this story is nice so far.
The characters are very credible, she is very shy and wants to be independent after she has being told what to do all her life. He is quick to get mad, and rather intimidating. They both fit their personalities to their respective stories so is realistic(she is not the typical sassy girl, and I like it, because she has being with an abusive father, so she couldn't be afford to be sassy). Also, that means that they are very balanced, she is calmed and clumsy were he has a temper but is more organized, so that makes them a very nice couple.
The romance is rather quick and that is actually pointed out by the protagonist, because they end up together after 2 days. This is a magical "mate" book, so this is forgiven, but I would have liked to see more interaction between them to get to know each other(they do have some scenes and they are cute, so this is why)
The secondary characters are a little bit forgettable, her bffs are very similar in character, the alphas are perfect and the villains are super mean without any motive. This is not a bad thing, this characters make the story better, it's just, I don't really care much about them. I don't fear them, I don't love them, they are just either helping the MCs or hating on them, but they don't do much.
There is this plot about Knox finding his family which could be done rather interestingly (still hasn't happened), but he did find his sister and that was the only thing I didn't like about this story. It was very convenient and I think it was just to avoid making a new characters they we have to like.

A sad happy ending

I really likes this story. Scarlet was an innocent girl with powers that gets sold along with her bffcharacter Renee to a Vampire king. He plans to use her for an upcoming war but they end up falling in love, with the slight problem that he is married.
The plot is excellent and as a whole I couldn't put it down, but I did find several problems that by no means made the book bad, but they could be fixed.
---The over- use of the word alas in the first chapters or every time the doctor appears.
---The king is married and it really made me not like as much their romance, because he and his wife are not really having troubles at the beggining. He tells her things, have sex, etc. She is not very lovable and I get that he falls in love with another one, but into perspective, the queen never does anything wrong for me to really hate her. She just gets pregnant and thinks she is superior to others. Again, I do not ship her or like her as a character, but I also believe she doesn't deserve to be cheated on without an explanation, so that made me not love the romance between them.
---The time the story is supposed to be in ,is very confusing. It is a fantasy world, so there are vampires, werewolf's, etc. So I get the author can get into some liberties, buuuut then they happen to use gowns, and wood for making showers hot, they use lamps, and have seamstresses. So you think"oh, it is set in a medieval or old kind of setting", but there are also planes, and radios, and cameras, and modern medicine. So I never got the time period.
---The fast paced romance. I did ship the two MCs. But I did think that their romance was out of nowhere. He liked her scent and started talking to her in a lake and then they are in love. Would have liked more of them getting to know each other or falling in love.
As far as the good things go, I really liked how the characters behave, they are not annoying. The secondary characters are very fun, or well made. Renee is super interesting, because she is nice but also you want to hate her sometimes, but she is always just protecting Scarlet. And the plot twist with her at the end makes sense so I really liked that.
Also I loved how Scarlet gets stronger as the book progresses, so she is not entirely useless or the damsel in distress.
As a final point, I loved the ending, it was very original, although it made me sad. I really wanted the cliche ending were everyone gets to be happy, and I guess they all really are happy, but I am not because I want Scarlet and Cain together. So that is depressing, but in a good way because it's not entirely sad.

Unique

This book is super fun and not at all what I expected. There is Chloe, she touches electronically devices and they die, and Tre, that does the contrary. They are very enchanting characters, although i loved her more, she was very pure and saw good in everyone. Also she is super smart and knows how to survive. Tre, at the beginning, its very useless, but after he escapes with Chloe he stops being a damsel in distress. (Yeah, him. A guy. I loved that)

The romance was not very developed so that kind of bummed me out but this could be changed by adding some chapters with them talking and falling in love. I can say that even if they don't have many romantic scenes (I think they have like 1 or 2, where they kiss) you still ship them.

The Egyptian plot was very WTF. At the beginning I didn't buy much that their powers were related to some mystical ancient power (because egypcians didn't have much electronical devices as far as I know) but although it is very out of the blue, in the end I kind of loved it because it was very unique and it made me very entertained to know how it all ended.

I did found that the Kirk plot was a little bit weird because it didn't go anywhere, but I still would read a book about him, or a book about the leveler.

The book still needs to fix some things, like it's pace, since sometimes some situations happen very fast. Even with this I still think it shows the characters developing because it's very well done, like when tre, meets with the agent three months later and they show how he has changed.

This book is really fun, and unique, I had a good time reading it, although it does needs some changes. But story and characters related this book is very worthwhile

Needs changes

Good things:
-The plot about him having double personality, was very cool and I found myself very interested in that
-When Andre is just Andre and not vampire, he is actually likeable and if there was more time of interaction with him and Shannon I would have shipped the main characters more.

Bad things:
-Anger issues: Andre/Vampire has anger issues which is very concerning because Shannon is a woman that has been thru torture. There are several times where he gets super mad at her and doesn't let her speak, leaves her, or just yells at her for not understanding him or whatever. The way Shannon reacts to this is so submissive and understanding, when in reality he should be the one trying to listen to her instead of getting mad every time they get closer or someone tells him about his vampirism.
-Romance out of nowhere: I never felt the romance, they met with her hurt, he took her to his home, healed her, few hours later they feel something for each other and vampire is mad because of it. I never felt they clicked or they complimented one another, they were just together because he found her and what the hell, I don't want to feel alone. Now I know there is some explanation about them being beloved, which is ok, I guess but that doesn't mean I still felt something for them, she could have started dating someone else and I wouldn't have felt bad for Andre
-The bff plot. I didn't get it. He wanted to try her blood because she was Andre's beloved and since he is a descendant of the first vampire, then the blood will be good? I don't know if I just didn't get what the author was trying to say, but since the dad was already searching for her I think this plot was meant so Andre wouldn't have it as easy to save Shannon and there would be some tension and drama. I think him making allies with her dad was the thing that didn't do it for me since they had completely different objectives (him, drinking from her/dad making her work) so it was very illogical.
-i understand that writing is a difficult thing since you are creating a story from zero and then have it make sense and make the reader feel, so sometimes you may change your mind. I don't know if this is what happened here but it looked like some things were made on the spot just to make it fit. For example the doctor that explained things to Shannon about Andre and his double personality, and then about being a beloved, but she didn't say all the relevant things so they had to ask her again because she left things out. And then she also explains about him being related the the first vampires. She explains different things in this book every time she appears, and although it isn't bad, it doesn't feel naturally explained because some things are missing and then you have to explain them later.

Overall the book isn't completely bad, but I do think it needs to change several things so it can be an enjoyable book.

Lovely

This book is just so easy to read, it puts a smile on your face.
The plot is not very complicated, Chase lost his sister in a car accident and Melanie is just this bubbly girl that makes him kill a spider in their first encounter, they fall in love and that's the book.
I loved how this book wasn't at all a cliche, the way they met, how he wasn't a "cocky player bad boy". He actually stayed away from parties, girls and he is a nice person other than he is a little gloomy, smokes and rides motorcycles. I just love him.
I also liked very much her character since she listened to him, was patient and was overall a good girlfriend. She never was like "YOU MUST TELL ME YOUR PAST" or something the dramatic main females say in this kind of books.
This book is excellent and if I had to find a fault, it is that the author needs to find other accidents other than car related ones. There are crashing airplanes, motorcycles, sudden illnesses, heart problems, a robbery gone wrong, or maybe just vary the circumstances of the car accident to someone walking in the street and dying. I say this because there are 3 car accidents in this book, and they aren't very smooth, they are all so similar that at some point I thought that Chase should just stop meeting people that know how to drive.

Very fun

The story is very catching. I usually don't like love triangles but this one was fine, I am still team Leo all the way, but Vance is ok, I just don't feel his vibe. Their first encounter was rather rude from his part so, for them to suddenly go to her apartment.... It just wasn't very romantic or believable. Don't get me wrong, Leo doesn't have the best of first encounter scenes, but he always treats her like a princess. If she doesn't end up with Leo I am gonna be pissed.
The plot is very good, and the mistery and world building is very well done. So this are the good points.
For the bad things that I found:
This one I find it funny, is that she never gets to be with her guys. I almost get to be frustrated with her every time someone interrupts them. This does create some situations where she is all sexual and then they get very serious, so sometimes it's difficult to follow the mood.
She is very bipolar at times. She get in a fight with Vance, goes to Leo because she doesn't even want to see him, and then gets all mad when Leo tells her that he told Vance to not talk to her that night..... This happens like twice in the book, but it is annoying, she always blames them for things they tried to do for her. I understand she is Moody and stuff, but it Is annoying when she doesn't apologize.
There are several other things that were not very good, but they were related to her moodiness so I understand, since they can be explained with her changing.
This book is really enjoyable beside this points.

Good romance

The good things: their relationship is very good, although he is very controlling she doesn't allow him to be, which I really like because usually the girl just allows for it to happen. They did get to know each other although he followed her everywhere at first.
I really liked Xavier, because he was in no way a cliche bad boy. He said sorry if needed, he was funny, he always listened to her, he got nervous around her, didn't bully her into liking him and never cheated on her. So I really don't think the label bad boy applied to him at all, he was just serious and an explayer.

The bad things: the dance challenge was really cringy for me, I was really liking the book up until that point, but that just turned the book cheesy in my opinion. Why did they have to have a dance off? It would have been cooler that she actually had taken those girls to court since they hurt her, or not take the challenge, because fighting over a boy is ridiculous, specially if the boy already said he doesn't like the other one.
Also I found the bonus chapter unnecessary and simply not clicking with the book. I don't know if there is a book about those characters, but to me, someone who've just read this book, it was like a meh and unnecessary chapter. The book doesn't make me care for Jules at all, I just met him twice, and although he was nice, I didn't feel anything for him. And then in this chapter it just tells us how they are bff over time, and Maria is dying and although I feel slightly bad for her because she is sick, I also don't have any reasons to cry for her.

Fun book

I really liked this book, the romance was very well developed and I loved how they got to know each other more, and not have a relationship based 100% on sex (although they are horney 95% of the book xD). Also the sex scenes are very good
I did have some problems with the last chapters were she stopped talking to him because of something his mother said, I just thought it was stupid the lack of communication from her part, she had this believe that "I am the only one that loves him and maybe he doesn't love me back although he has literally stays with me everyday, buys me things, jokes with me, lets me live with him and hasn't had sex with me because he wants my first time to be special" Like I know there are dense people in this world, but this is exaggerated.

Couldn't finish it

I usually try to finish books before I comment on them, but this book was just a mess, there were flashbacks happening at the same time as the present and there is no way to differentiate them and in general it was difficult to understand.

The writing style was a little cringy for me, i know it's a preference, but when the book is in the main character perspective and she starts talking to ME, the reader, like when she says "I like to eat, a problem with that?" Or when she directs her thoughts at me, I really find it unlikeable because there's no reason for her to speak to me unless this would be a diary or a letter of some sorts where she knows someone is reading.

Other than the writing style, the plot had some issues, at first it says she has always been mute and then it says she had reasons for being mute because some rogues attacked her and her sister and nobody remembered. (I didn't finished the book, so I don't really know what exactly happened to the sister, but I bet she is alive and that Iris starts talking later in the book) but this I just found like super confusing, I think it would be better to just put the flashback at the beginning of the book so when we understand and it doesn't seem like an afterthought.

Other small things that bothered me was the fact that she kept fainting every second in this book, literally every chapter with her perspective ends up with her blacking out, it was uncomfortable and didn't let the plot continue because she was always asleep or in shock or whatever. I simply stopped caring for her after the third time. Also the romance was quite affected by this because we don't see them bond at all, there's only one time and then she meets his mom and his fiancee and they never get to know each other because she keeps fainting.

I don't want the author to give up, because it can be fixed and the book would be quite good If this happens, but at this stage I simply couldn't continue with the book

Excellent so far

The bad things that are really super minor and I don't really care about them: sometimes there are some inconsistencies with the writing mainly in dialogues the autor gets the character wrong and names Kyle or some other character twice.
Also the book is super.. not for sensible people, in the first chapter I was eating and when I got to the rape scene I was slightly nauseous.

The excellent things: I usually don't like this kind of plots because the girl is super innocent and forgives her abusers or lets him go and that makes usually for the ending of the story where he gets her again and the guy saves her. Her character is amazing because is flawed but strong: she is damaged, she didn't have the best life but that hasn't made her depressed, suicidal, crazy, or angry at the entire world. She still laughs, she is anxious to have the friends that she wasn't allowed before, and takes her mental health into her own hands. I find her a really likeable character and (to this review, the book only has 22 chapters) I really hope she finds something that makes her happy. (Extra points to her character when she threatened her father... That scene was glorious and I read it twice)

The romance between Logan and her is sweet, he really is a good match for her, and I love how she accepts him even when he has burn marks in his face and he accepts her even when she was raped for years. They both are damaged so I really love them together because they fix each other and make each other laugh. Also they communicate a lot, I hate when relationships in books the characters never listen or try to talk to each other, so they end up having fights every 10 seconds.
I really love this book so far and hope that they get a happy ending (I don't mind a bit of killing characters, mainly his and her father... that would make an even happier ending)

Super short but nice

This was so short I believed it was just the beginning of the book, and I feel the ending wasn't really an ending because a lot of things were left hanging (like why did he marry her when they could have taken her as a "mistress") everything was left like the author was going to continue but just left it there. It didn't develop any romance, although the times they were together were cute, mostly from her part, because she was a sweetie.

I did like that she had reasons to stay in her kingdom like all of her other brothers and sisters, so it was reasonable for her not to go (unlike many books I have read where the character doesn't leave and you just hate them for staying there suffering for nothing)

Cute and sweet

You think you are going to read the typical story of a rudeless alpha and a depressed Luna, and yes at several occasions they act like that but they have a sense of duty that makes me like them a lot. The move on because of the pack and eventually they fall in love, and I love that they don't do it over night, the get some time to still miss their original mates and then they start to see the good in one another.
The characters are very nice and I really have nothing to complain about. The book is very sweet

Good

It was a fun book, specially because the main character was a little bit out of control in a place where they have to be super square. She was actually a good character but the other ones kept making her feel stupid and crazy and there is one time where she is in trouble with the paparazzi and I honestly didn't see the problem. Yes she could've handled it better but she wasn't drunk or naked, and they acted like she ruined the royals reputation forever. So that was a thing with this book, it was very dramatic in some aspects.
Up until some point the ex boyfriend plot was actually good and the suddenly it was extremely over the top, it didn't made a bad book but it was unrealistic, it was just super unbelievable that she kept forgiving him like nothing happened and then that would lead to her getting hurt again.

Xavier, I never felt I met him, I didn't know why she loved him, it just felt like he scolded her a little bit, and suddenly was in love with her and she didn't notice but she was in love with him too. He never trusted her with his past and that made me reluctant of their romance.

Also I would have like to see the good sides of being in that family, the book was always showing James in a bad light, and even though she wasn't mistreated, her family were always telling her how good it was she wasn't making mistakes. I would have like a family reunion were they don't care about that stuff and have fun in private. Or more scenes where she talks to her dad, because I am never showed her dad is a good guy, I would have like to meet them more so I wouldnt hate her family as much.

Overall is a fun book with some dramatic scenes.

A very sad happy story

The bad things: the romance was Ok, we did meet Ethan and know several things about him, but not enough for you to feel she belongs with him, she spend more time with all the other three, but still I understood the decision to put them as a couple since they both deal with sickness. I just think that maybe they needed to go on a date or talk more than twice for it to feel real.

Also I found Veronica's hatred to be super incredible, to the point of blackmailing a sick girl to die alone. Like what kind of super Hitler is she? I understand she was a bully but still, she needed more reasons than "she humiliated me and took the boys away from me" to have that sort of attitude.

The good: the book is very good, the ending is the amazing thing for me. It was sad, but at the end it wasn't, she got to live, have fun, get married and that makes me super happy. At the same time I couldn't stop a little tear to slip from my eye. That was the perfect blend of a happy sad moment.

I am glad she gets to really know her friends thru the book (not the typical "hey I am Blake, let's be BFF out of nowhere), their fears and was kind to them but also that she stood up for herself when they treated her wrong.

Good mature scenes, meh characters

The best part about this book are the sex scenes. Like they are extremely well done, and don't get me wrong the book by itself has other good points but this one was outstanding.

The thing I hated the most was the protagonists lack of care for her career and overall lack of care for herself. Her ex, her sorority leader, some guy in Vegas, her classmates and fellow dancers all treat her wrong and she does nothing, she never stands up herself and says "enough is enough", actually the only way she broke up with her bf was because she caught him cheating, not because she thought it was the right thing to do since long time ago. Also she just met Roman, doesn't know much about him but she is willing to let everything go just because she is in love.

Roman, I would have liked more character development for him. You never really know his personality or his history, like all that it's said is that he comes from a rich family, started dancing professionaly very young, won many awards and is very detailed at dancing. That's it. I never really fell in love with him, he was just meh, he was respectful and really horny but not much can be said about him.

Overall the story was good but the characters not so much. Still they weren't hateable and the book is quite enjoyable.

Too shocked

As I rate this I want to make something clear: I didn't like this book but if I see it objectively it was an excellent book and I am in shock for how it made me feel.

The book is about a girl that's adopted by a Catholic prestigious family, and after several things happen, her stepfather starts abusing her for 10 years. It's is told from her perspective in the future and it's absolutely traumatizing just imagining being that girl. And the author does it so well you actually understand everything she does and you fear for her.

The problem? It was way too damn realistic. I wanted to cry and kill and torture the stepfather all at the same time. And she felt like a character like you could relate to, since the writing is too well done and at various points of the book she considers suicide, and let me tell you, i actually agreed with her.

Also the fact that this actually happens (I don't know if this book is based on someone in real life) and people with power are never held responsible is so frustrating in this book I wanted her to have a Carrie moment and kill them all. As happy endings that would have been the best ending possible for this book. I am a sucker for happy endings and this book doesn't give you one. But please read it. It's... shocking

This book is excellent and I really would like to read something from the author thats a bit more cheery because I want to kill someone with this ending.

A good book

Overall the book was good, there were some inconstancies or some things they were not believable (like how fast they accepted her into a new pack) but I ignored them, they weren't so bad.

The main character is fat, I think this should be more important to the plot because it it the reason her mate rejected her and she was bullied, but other for that in the book there's never a psychological consequence, like there are times Kaiden or her other friends tell her she eats too much or that she is a piggy (joking of course) and she never react to those words. I did like that she started dating Kaiden when she was fat, that Made their relationship better.

The result of the love triangle was predictable but was very well done, usually the two guys fight over the girl and someone ends up being a jerk or the villain, and the other ends up with the girl. I did like that Cade respected that she was with Kaiden and they didn't fight over her like two neanderthals saying "she's mine" which I appreciate.

The last two chapters killed the book

The book at the beginning was ok, The plot was a little too fast but since its a soul mate book i didnt really expect the love development that usually goes into romance. They did said the "i love you" super fast, forgave themselves out of nowhere and told their life stories without doubting that this other person was a stranger. Even though is a soul mate book, i would have liked to see more of them getting to know each other, developing more a plot were there are more mysteries (like why is he so into biting, so they go to an adventure to find out and have several chapters explaining that several vampires are more savages because... i dont know,... a witch cursed them or something,

Even though this sounds like a bad thing it was an overall meh book, i think the author could improve the book by extending it and having character develepment where we could get to know the characters instead of just telling us "he is quiet, she is flirty, he owns a car business and she is a hunter and being bullied by her mother to marry" that is all i know about the characters and i think the book could improve if they could show us in actions how is their personalities, like for example there could be a plot about her searching for a vampire but since she smells like a hunter, she needs help from him and they could show their personalities while they are hunting.(just an example)

Now the thing that made the book super annoying for me was the last two chapters. He gets angry out of nowhere to the point he is threatening to kill himself, all of their family members blame HER for him getting mad for absolutely nothing, and then he blames her and forgives her for wanting to TALK to a guy she has already stated she doesnt like. If this doesnt sound like an toxic relationship to you, i dont know what will. The book passes it off as "its her fault because she didnt know vampires are super possesive and if you tell them no when they are horny, theyll want to kill themselves". No honey, I have read books were there are possesive characters that if they hear their partner wants to talk to the opposite sex then theyll stay to watch it doesn happen anything. They dont freak out of nothing and hope to die and kill everyone. I hope whoever reads this does not think this is a normal behaviour for a relationship and get out of it if they can.

Some good things

I loved the romance, it was cute, they got to know each other and that is something a lot of werewolf books just ignore. So props to the main love plot.

The main thing that annoyed me was the secondary characters, specially Jacey, she was so... Unnecessarily concerned and annoying, I just wanted her dead. Also their friends were kind of... Meh. I hated when there was a serious scene and their friends would just joke about it later. Like when Deacon gets drunk, he has a very good reason to do so, and later they just laugh at him for vomiting. I know it's something common and it was his fault by drinking too much, but he felt bad already, why do they laugh when he is humiliated and hurt. This happens several times and it annoyed me a lot, because they seemed insensitive.

The villain of the book kinda came out of nowhere, and he just wanted to torture Violet because... He wanted his territory.... (Yeah that did not convinced me, it just sounds lame). I mean I get it, they are rogues and supposedly they are "stupid", but why torture her so he suffers?what is the point?they don't have personal reasons to want that kind of pain. He could've just kidnapped her to get Deacon alone, and then he could kill both of them and get their territory. This plot just came out of nowhere.

The father plot could have been more well developed, although it wasn't bad, i would have liked to have several chapters where they are closer to knowing the truth, and she gets to know more of Weasley before knowing anything so we can enjoy the mystery and formulate our own reasons why she is a werewolf.

Also there were times when the book seemed like a commercial "I put on my Victoria's secret pink every day bra, with an H&M t-shirt, perfume called sweet seduction (I don't really remember exactly)" also there is one scene where i could almost hear the makeup tutorial where she tells us her type of makeup, the brands and the tones she uses in her makeup (like her"salmon/watermelon lipstick" which confused me a lot because I think those are different tones) Thankfully this scene was just once because she rarely used makeup in the book, but it was like a commercial.

All in all, the main characters were good but some plots and characters were lacking

Short but to the point

The story is very short so the romance goes really fast. I am glad the male main character never pressured her to stop being an escort and that she was able to stop doing it by her own choice. The sex scenes were very good overall.
