A Ghost's Addiction
Usually, mystery, thriller, anything with the word "ghost", those books don't really interest me. From the description of this one, especially the part with the Plague Doctors really piqued my interest. A town full of supernatural stuff, that's right up my alley. I think Damien was a very good character, he was well-rounded and down-to-earth. Although, I was, and still am, curious as to why everyone referred to him as "devil."
What I liked about Valerie was that she was really cool, with her knowledge of video games and literature like Shakespeare's Star Wars. I'm still curious as to what she was though. Was she a ghost, or was she something else entirely?
I have to say that I really liked how mysterious Serena was. It wasn't just the whole aspect of her being transsexual, but that, like Valerie, she was an entirely different being altogether. After reading chapter six, where we find out about Serena, I really wanted to know more, and then after the part about the missing poster of the girl who looked a lot like Serena, it made me want to keep reading and find out a whole lot more about her. By the end, my curiosity was satisfied, but I was still confused because it seemed like she was some sort of shape-shifter, before she kissed Damien.
Your first description of Rayne, when Damien saw her in the classroom, right away, made me suspect that she was in with the plague doctors, but I didn't expect her to be their Queen. I liked that, she held all this power.
All in all, I thought it was a great story, quickly paced so that its not boring, but slow enough so as the reader isn't questioning if they missed something. And the details painted a vivid picture in my mind. I loved it, and I hope to read more.
Oh My God! So Amazing!
When I started reading this, I thought it would be a typical heiress meets heir story, but this is so different. I didn't expect Kira to be a High School Student, or Max to be 24. I thought that their biggest obstacle would be keeping their relationship from the media (and their families), but with Kira's ex, and Max's ex, who seems to have a couple of screws loose, it only adds to the thickening plot.
I can't wait to read the second book, I want to know what they come up with, in response to Bianca's threats.
I was hooked!
It took me probably a full day to read, because after one chapter ended, I wanted to see what was going to happen in the next.
I think my favorite aspect of it, was Riley, and how rounded she was. I think the growth of her character was very well-shown, The way that she was frightened in the beginning, and then she was strong, but that she didn't instantly change and become strong, how, even when she was with Dean, her fears about her old relationships popped up. I loved how well-rounded she is,
Dean was another very well-rounded character; I have to admit, I really liked the fact that Riley learned about him little by little, story by story. It was a good way to learn about his past, without overwhelming the readers, and, incidentally, made me want to read the next chapter, and learn more about these characters.
I think it was a really great book, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
I think Angel is a well-rounded character, and I love how she and Adrian collide; he's trying to tame her and she's defying him at every turn. I like how it's not like other werewolf stories, how it has a bit of vampire in it too--talking about them, at least. When I read the part about the hybrids, it made me think of Klaus from The Originals.
It was a little confusing at some parts, but, overall, I think it was a great story.
It's a great story
I liked this story a lot. Usually, when i read about werewolves, the characters are adults, so it was interesting to read one from a teenager's point of view. I loved the interaction between Kaydon and Alex, Jamie and Bo, James and Sapphire, how they reacted when they found their mate; I liked that their mates each had a unique scent that they could find them by, I thought that was a very clever way to make the characters identify with their mates. it was a really fantastic story, the plot line was something I definitely had never read before. I think you're a brilliant writer, and I can't wait to read more of your work.Read the story now
